Key messages and themes

Self Discovery was a Huge party of the book, Belly had to go through a lot of confusion and emotion throughout her journey, she had a rough time figuring out who she liked between Jeremiah and Conrad but throughout being lost in a love story she lost herself a bit, belly forgot who she was because she was too busy focusing o other people and she had to start to focus on herself and too stop obsessing over love and start self care in front of others care. Throughout the book Belly released this and had too take a break from everyone and be herself she found self discovery and worked on making herself a better person.

Love was a huge theme in the book, the main theme. Belly was just a girl stuck she had to choose who she loved but she had special moments with both of the boys Jeremiah and Conrad she didn't know what to feel or do she got stuck. Jeremiah was the younger one more upfront and hypogenic they always had so much fun together, but Conrad was so listening and respectful she felt safe around him she fell for both of them. The person who she first loved was Conrad she had the biggest crush on him for years but when all of a sudden she had a glow-up she started to realise how cute Jeremiah was, and they both started paying attention to Belly she didn't know what to do because she was attached to each boy for a different feeling/connection.

We cannot forget Family/Friends in the book also being a significant theme in the Book. The two families connected through there mothers being bestfriends. Family was also a major factor in the Book having the two boys Conrad and Jeremiah who both love the same girl, it caused issues and fights between the brothers but in the end they still love eachother and that is the power of family bonds. The movie relied on love but the book also had the theme family and friendship and the bonds between the characters.
