Code Monkey

Code Monkey Camp Goals:

1. Develop an understanding of programming with the various sites we use.

2. Develop an understanding on how to use the various commands and functions, and coding the various sites we use.

3. Develop troubleshooting skills to adjust your code as needed.

4. Participate in a community of project creators by being an active member of the community.

5. Adhere to copyright by using only resources from the Creative Commons Media Page

Expectations on use of Hardware and Software:

1. We will use web-based resources so we will not need to save to the computer.

2. Only Software programs and sites we are actively working with may be used in camp. YouTube, Minecraft, Roblox, or Fortnite are not a part of this camp.

3. You will need to balance the amount of time that you explore with the amount of time you program your app. You MUST code/program more than you Play!

If you need an image, ONLY use https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page so the web filter does not turn off your internet.

Day 1

1. The plan for this camp is to show you how to use different sites to learn how to code. We will start with Blockly: https://blockly-games.appspot.com/ (a web-based, graphical programming editor) which will give an overview on how to use Object Oriented Programming to drag blocks together to build an application.

Maze 10 level is really hard. After you have tried to solve it and not been successful see if this code will work.
