Mitsubishi Electric Corporation
A high level of social infrastructure is the foundation of our daily lives, and contributing to the construction of safe, secure, and stable lifelines and public facilities is an area in which Mitsubishi Electric has led the industry both inside and outside of Japan since its founding.
Mitsubishi Electric's exclusively developed ultra-thin spider robot "GenSPIDER" has revolutionized innovative technology for power generator inspection. By realizing an ultra-thin 19.9 mm thick spider robot with low vibration travel, the inspection of generators, which used to take one to two months, has been shortened to about six days. The GenSPIDER is an epoch-making invention that solves the two major pain points mentioned above, as well as the huge cost of inspections, which is as difficult as the inspection period.

Singapore promotes the reuse of sewage water, a pioneering work to sterilize normal sewage water and purify it to a high quality of drinking water grade. In response to the increasing demand for reuse, the EcoMBR® (Ozonated Water Cleaning and Baptized Membrane Bioreactor) system is being tested using ozone technology. In addition, Mitsubishi Electric's ozone generator "Ozonizer" has been introduced to the water purification plants managed by the Public Utilities Board of Singapore, contributing to the production of clean water in Singapore.
