Code of Conscience
AKQA has released a code called "Code of Conscience", which is a code that is input into the logging machine. Using the map data from the United Nations World Database of Protected Areas, combined with the GPS on the machine, it detects that once the machine passes through a protected area, it will automatically stop running, making it impossible for the user to use the logging work. Since in the Amazon forest, reserves are located next to reclamation areas, and many of them have been cut down from time to time, AKQA has launched this code in the hope of creating an environmentally friendly and sustainable approach to logging operations.
AKQA is sharing the code online for free and is actively seeking cooperation with logging machine manufacturers. The Amazon is the lungs of the earth, and its natural reserves are important for maintaining biodiversity and local cultures, so actively protecting the natural environment will definitely bring more benefits than reclamation.

#2 SMART App
Smart APP Spatial Monitoring and Reporting Tool Kenya, a country plagued by poachers, has been curbing poaching in recent years from 384 elephants killed by poachers in 2012 to just 11 elephants in 2020.
Thanks to Smart App, rangers are able to record and track the location of animals and suspicious people in the vicinity. If rangers see a new bullet wound on an animal, they can use the app to record it and contact the police, forensic pathologists and judges so they can investigate. It also solves the problem of illiteracy among the rangers, as Smart utilizes electronic patrol forms and diagrams to mark the signs, so that even illiterate rangers can understand and keep records.
While protecting the elephants, it also protects the other wildlife in the reserve area, and in addition to curbing poaching habits, it also helps people understand the importance of caring for terrestrial resources and respecting life.
