I work as a postdoc researcher in the Institute of Hydrogeology, Engineering Geology and Applied Geophysics at Charles University, Prague. I am a geomorphologist with a strong curiosity about the process of landscape evolution. 

I am broadly interested in tectonic, lithologic, and climatic controls on landscape evolution; sediment transport; fluvial processes and floods; and the role of landslides in topographic changes. Earlier, I focused on understanding the geomorphic evolution of Peninsular Indian catchments (with focus on the Deccan Traps), and sediment transport and erosional characteristics during the present warming climate and anthropogenic pressure in large Peninsular Indian basins. Now I am slowly transitioning my study areas to the Himalayan and European montane landscapes to investigate similar problems. I've published as a lead author in prestigious journals such as CATENA, Science of the Total Environment, Journal of Hydrology, Geoscience Frontiers, etc. 

At present, I serve on the Editorial Boards of Science of the Total Environment (Elsevier), CATENA (Elsevier), and The Innovation Geoscience (Innovation Press).
