About Me:

Dr. Sumit works as researcher in the Institute of Hydrogeology, Engineering Geology and Applied Geophysics at Charles University, Prague. Sumit is a geomorphologist with strong curiosity towards the process of landscape evolution. His primary research interests are tectonic, lithologic, and climatic control on landscape evolution; sediment budget; fluvial geomorphology; time-series analysis, and GIS-based hazard (flood and landslide) mapping. His current researches are focused on understanding hydro-geomorphic evolution of Peninsular Indian catchments. He has published over 30 manuscripts in prestigious international peer-reviewed journals. Sumit serves as an Editorial Board Member of Science of the Total Environment (Elsevier).
