Who We Are

Sullivan Food Cupboard is a not-for-profit organization striving to eliminate hunger in our community, by partnering with our community members to provide nutritious food to our neighbors in need.

Sullivan Food Cupboard is a food pantry serving families residing in the Town of Sullivan, New York who are food insecure

What We Do

Each month, more than 100 families visit the Sullivan Food Cupboard to receive food.  Our clients may find themselves in need of food for a variety of reasons, and it may be a long-term situation, or only temporary.

We have partnered with the Chittenango Central School district to provide weekend breakfasts and lunches to more than 90 students who receive free meals at school, and whose families are struggling to provide those meals at home.

Sullivan Food Cupboard relies on our amazing community for their generous support to continue our mission.  We receive donations of money, food, household and hygiene supplies from individuals, community groups, businesses, churches and other civic organizations.   We also rely on a network of volunteers (including the Board of Directors) who perform a variety of tasks such as food acquisition and distribution.

We operate in partnership with the Food Bank of Central New York, and follow their guidelines for food distribution.   This allows us to purchase food items at a discount, and to receive grant money from HPNAP (Hunger Prevention and Nutrition Assistance Program)
