ชุดภาพจิตรกรรมจากภาพปกจากสื่อสิ่งพิมพ์ หนังสือพิมพ์ นิตยสาร นวนิยาย ที่มีบทบาทในการสร้างความจริง หรือการกระทำร่วมกันในสังคมไทย ปกสิ่งพิมพ์ถูกคัดเลือกมาวาดเป็นงานจิตรกรรม ที่มีช่วงผันแปรในคุณค่าของวัตถุ หรือภาพจากสิ่งพิมพ์ จากตัวแปรต่างๆ เช่น ความสวยงาม ความทรงจำ ความหายาก หรือ เรื่องต้องห้าม

"แผลเก่า" เป็นการนำชื่อนวนิยายเรื่องหนึ่งของ ไม้ เมืองเดิม มาตั้งเป็นชื่อนิทรรศการ เพื่อให้ผู้ชมนำคำนี้มาตีความภาพ และเรื่องราวที่อบอวลอยู่ในนิทรรศการ ทั้งเรื่องเก่าที่ยังอยากดู เพื่อตอกย้ำอะไรบางอย่าง และเรื่องเก่าที่ทำให้เห็นใหม่ เพื่อสร้างบทสนทนากับปัจจุบันได้ต่างไปจากเรื่องเดิม

"Old Wound" is a collection of paintings from the coveres of printed publications, including books, newspaper, magazines, and novels, that have a vital role in creating the truth or collective memmories in Thai society. The cover of the publication was selected to be drawn as a painting. This inviting piece lets the audiences consider the variation in the value of the object or images from magazines from variables such as beauty, memory, rarity, or taboo.

"Old Wound" in the exhibition's name, obtain from the novel by Mai Muangderm. the phrase lets the audience interpret the picture and the stories that premeated the show, both old stories that still linger in memories and reinforce something deep inside. The old story made new to create a conversation in the present, different from the original

ในโลกแห่งความหลากหลาย คนเรามีวิธีผ่อนคลายตัวเองจากความไม่สบายใจแตกต่างกันออกไป การออกไปมองน้ำ มองฟ้า ให้สีครามค่อยๆ คลายความรู้สึกและสีโทนฟ้า คราม น้ำเงิน จะช่วยให้คนเราสงบลงได้ แล้วงานศิลปะในโทนสีเดียวกับท้องฟ้าจะทำให้ผู้ชมรู้สึกดีขึ้นได้ด้วยรึเปล่า? แล้วลายเส้นของนามธรรมจะให้ความรู้สึกเหมือนการเคลื่อนไหวของก้อนเมฆรึเปล่า? ภาพถ่ายท้องฟ้าจะช่วยให้เราจดจำช่วงเวลาที่ได้ผ่านไปแล้วนานแค่ไหน? คำตอบของคำถามเหล่านี้คงต่างกันออกไปตามการเชื่อมโยงผลงานตรงหน้ากับสถานการณ์ของผู้ชม และศิลปะเปิดกว้างพอให้ทุกคนได้คิดต่อ อาจจะจริงอย่างที่วิกเตอร์ อูว์โก กล่าวไว้จริงๆก็ได้ว่า ปรากฏการณ์ที่ยิ่งใหญ่กว่าท้องฟ้าและทะเลก็คือสิ่งที่อยู่ข้างในใจของเรา

In a world of diversity, People have different ways of relaxing from thier displeasrsure. Going out to look at the sky, let the indigo color gradually alleviate the bad feeling. Some said that colors affect emotions, and blue tones can help calm the mind. So will the artwork in the same tone as the sky also make audiences feel better? Will the indigo fabric from the tie-dye technique look like the blue sky at dawn? will abstract brushstroke feel like the movement of clounds? How long will photographs of the sky help us remember the past? The answers to these questions will vary depending on how the work is connected to the viewer's experience.
