Hi, I'm Su Junzhu. My journey in the field of educational technology and learning sciences has been shaped by over a decade of learning and work experience, deeply rooted in my passion for education. My engagement with the field spans diverse roles in research, teacher training, and software design, contributing to both practical implementations and academic discourse on technology-enhanced learning.
In my research, I focus on the role of individual preparation and peer feedback in collaborative learning environments, particularly in computer-supported collaborative argumentation. Over the last four years, I have made considerable contributions to academia through the co-authorship of 19 papers, comprising 7 journal articles and 12 conference papers. Importantly, my research has garnered recognition with two esteemed accolades: the Best Paper Award at the 30th International Conference on Computers in Education (ICCE 2022) and the Best English Paper Award at the 27th Global Chinese Conference on Computers in Education (GCCCE 2023). Besides, my team and I received an educational award from a middle school in Singapore due to the teaching innovation supported by emerging technologies.
In addition to research experience, I have rich experience in the education industry. In EEO company (China), I worked extensively on video analytics in classrooms, analyzing teaching practices and student engagement to inform improvements in digital pedagogies. During this time, I contributed to writing papers that explored the intersection of technology and learning, offering insights into how e-learning platforms can be optimized for different educational contexts. My previous experience as a researcher at IFLYTEK company (China) also centered around instructional design, reinforcing my ability to bridge the gap between theory and practice in education. Prior to these roles, I held the position of Training Director at Lanxum Mintelcn Education Technology Company (China), where I developed a large-scale teacher training program, successfully training over 5,000 English teachers to improve their teaching through software tools. This experience deepened my expertise in the design and implementation of e-learning applications, which were integrated into a wide range of educational settings. Besides, my early career as a teacher also provided me with valuable classroom experience, which now informs my approach to addressing the real needs of both teachers and students.
As I continue to advance in the field, I work with Dr. Nikki G. Lobczowski's research group because she is an excellent professor who excels in learning sciences in technology-rich contexts. I would collaborate closely with CREATE lab to accomplish my research goals.
