Tea Steepers

The caves are a baffling natural labyrinth of twists, turns and dead ends that cuts into the Himalaya. Those foolish enough to desire entrance to this underground world must first gain a clue to the whereabouts of the cave’s entrance.

You should visit the scholars of Shangri La and ask them in the question box Tea Steepers. You should get this answer

The Tea Steepers seek to overthrow the Prince. They mistakenly believe that the future of Shangri La lies in the old ways and refuse to accept all of the good the Prince has done for us. The Prince's Chief of Security would be interested in hearing anything you learn about the Tea Steepers and would reward you for that information.

If you carry on asking the scholars Tea Steepers one will eventually answer with

I can see that you are an honorable person who would fight against oppression, so I will tell you how to find the Tea Steepers.

Search the mountains above town to find the entrance to the Caves of Shangri La. Through those caves, there is a path that will take you to the secret headquarters of the Tea Steepers.

Tell nobody about this conversation. The Prince can be a cruel and paranoid ruler.

And now the entrance to the caves will have been revealed… well sort of as it’s not shown on the map screen. There are several ways to find it. The caves move for everyone but they are in the mountains to the right of the Lamasery.

You can manually seek the link or (depending on your browser) right click on the screen and pick select all, hold down you mouse and drag a box over the whole picture or press control A. One of these should allow you to see a link that does not appear on the map. Click on it and you will find the cave entrance

Only the brave and those who forget to ask enter the caves without a map.

The way through to the Tea Steepers is long and there are several sink holes on the way which if you stumble into will slide you all the way back out to the cave entrance.

There’s also an old shack that you can find deep within the cave system. If you can find it you will get a copy of The Adventure of the Empty House by Arthur Conan Doyle.

Help is at hand, choose one of the 3 types of files below to download a map of the caves. Follow the marked path first to the shack and then on to the exit. Do not deviate from the path… you may get lost or tumble out of a hole.
