Rifle and Range Safety
Muzzle:
Always point the muzzle in a safe direction and away from people.

Keep Actions open except when shooting.
trigger:
Do not touch the trigger until ready to shoot.
range rules
Range Officer: In command of the range. Always obey command given.
Person Downrange: Actions open, rifle on safe, muzzle elevated or on bipod.
Range commands: Load, start, stop, and unload.
Actions open:Â Before and after shooting.
Loading: Muzzle must be pointed up or downrange.
range safety rules
Treat every rifle as if it were loaded.
Never point the rifle at anyone or anything except the target.
Keep your finger off the trigger until you intend to shoot.
Keep the rifle on safe until you have acquired a good sight picture.
No one is allowed in front of the firing line without permission.
No snapping in behind the firing line.
No shooter may leave the firing line without permission from the range officer.
Have a completely safe rifle before leaving the firing line.
Only shoot on your designated target.
Call "stop" or "cease fire" when any unsafe condition is observed.
Place the rifle on safe after charging and before loading.
Before changing position ensure:
Safe
Action to the rear
Chamber clear
Raise your trigger finger hand if your rifle fails to fire.
