• Dr. Chowdhury visited the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). Dr. Chowdhury gave an invited talk on Spin-Liquide State at ORNL.

• Dr. Chowdhury presented an understanding of Kitaev Interaction in NiPSe3 at ICM-Bologna, Italy, 2024. Congratulations Dr. Chowdhury.

Dr. Sharma received her Ph.D degree from IIT-BHU and is an INSPIRE fellow. Welcome, Dr. Muleni and Dr. Sharma!!! They will work on the magnetic spin-textture using Nanomagnetometer.

• Our Defect Genome manuscript in Advanced Materials. The journal impact factor is ~30. Congratulation team!!!

• We received $5 million in funding for ExpandQISE 2 from NSF!!! This is a collaboration between Northeastern University, BNL, NIST, IBM-HBCU Center, NREL, QNami, and Quantum Design. Congratulations Team!!!

• Dr. Vineet Kumar Sharma (Postdoc) and Ashutosh (Graduate Student) joined our group. Dr. Sharma finished his Ph.D. at IIT-Hyderabad, India, and Ashutosh finished his M.Phil. from Himachal Pradesh University, India. Welcome, Vineet and Ashutosh. 

• Our Machine Learning manuscript was accepted in Nature Communications!! 

• Dr. Johannes Nokelainen joined our group as a Postdoctoral Associate. Welcome, Dr. Nokelainen!!! Dr. Nokelainen will lead our magnetic topological materials and quantum spin-liquid states.

• Prof. Chowdhury delivered an invited talk International Conference on Emerging Trends in Science & Technology (ICETST‐2022), India.

• Our invited review paper on charge density waves was published in Nanomaterials!!!!

• Our papers were accepted in Advanced Theory and Simulations (one paper) and Physical Review B  (2 papers).

• Gadeer's first paper was accepted in Physical Review B!! Congratulations Gadeer. 

• Prof. Chowdhury organized a symposium on Topological Materials in MRS Spring 2022 in Honolulu, Hawaii.

• Prof. Chowdhury was invited to present special talk to First International Conference on Material Sciences and Applied Physics (ICMSAP–2021) at Department of Physics, Pachhunga University College, Mizoram University, Aizawl, India on 11/22/2021. 

• Prof. Chowdhury was invited to present a talk in Department of Chemistry at Howard University on 11/05/2021.

• Group received XSEDE computational support for one year. 

• Group received DOE grant for next three years! Dr. Chowdhury is the lead PI for this project proposal. 

• Alana,  Andrea and Jalen successfully present their summer projects! Congratulations!!

• Our group received seed grant from IBM/HBCU initiative to study the mechanical properties of unconventional superconducting materials! Dr. Chowdhury is the lead PI for this project proposal. 

• Our paper on Charge Density Waves phase (CDW) of 2H-TaSe2 was published in ACS Applied Nano Materials!

• Dr. Chowdhury, gave an invited talk on Axion Insulators at CIQM, Harvard University. 

• Dr. Chowdhury formed the "Quantum Materials Modeling" group.

• Dr. Chowdhury received Postdoctoral Fellow Accolade for exceptional contributions in the field of computational material design with focus on quantum materials, from Materials Measurement Laboratories, NIST, 2019.

• Dr. Chowdhury received Best poster award in Young Professional Poster Contest, in TMS Spring Conference at San Antonio, 2019. 

• Dr. Chowdhury joined the Department of Physics at Howard University.
