Face Distortion

In this lesson, you will learn how to create super cool face distortion images using photographs you have taken and then edited using the Clipping Mask tool.

Part 1: Taking the photographs

You can apply this technique to any photograph but it looks particularly effective if you use pictures of faces. You can take a picture of your friends or family or a selfie.

Make sure the shot is in focus and that you have just the head and shoulders. I've found images were the person was not smiling works best as lots of teeth on show start to look weird and sometimes comical when they are distorted and this could detract away from the effectiveness of the final image.

Part 2: Editing the Photograph using Photopea

  • Choose your favourite photograph. Then after watching the video above, edit the photograph using Photopea.
