Won the award for Innovation and excellence in research in the Summer Institute on Optical Sensing Technologies from IC-Impacts (India-Canada Centre for Innovative Multidisciplinary Partnerships to Accelerate Community Transformation and Sustainability) held at Toronto University in Canada from 13- 19 June 2015.

Cleared Competitive Examinations: GATE (2007), CSIR-NET for Lectureship (2011), National Graduate Physics Examination (2006).

Stood Second in M.Tech. and M. Sc from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and Presidency College, Kolkata respectively.
