I am a geographer with about seven years of research and teaching experience in various interdisciplinary domains. I completed my BSc (Hons) and MSc in Geography followed by MTech in Remote Sensing and GIS with the specialisation in Marine and Atmospheric Sciences from the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), ISRO, Dehradun in 2018. I also qualified for the UGC-NET Lectureship (LS) in the subject of Geography for four times during 2016-18. As a part of my MTech Thesis, I compared CMIP5 and CORDEX-SA models with respect to IMD rainfall data in order to project rainfall patterns under various warming scenarios. After completed MTech, I was associated with the Centre for Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and analysed several climate data i.e., rainfall, sea surface temperature, soil moisture, wind speed and wind direction etc using various data analysis softwares and programming languages to understand ENSO-Monsoon relationship in changing climate under a DST-funded project during 2018-19. I investigated the impacts of space-based technology on the marine fishery sector e.g., Marine Fishery Advisories (MFAs) etc for Odisha through ground-based observation under a MoES-sponsored project during the association with the National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS), IISc Campus, Bengaluru during 2019-22. I was also a Teaching Assistant (TA) at NIAS and handled several classes for Masters and Doctoral students for the course titled, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – A Primer. My doctoral research was associated with the utilisation of MFAs for sustainable marine fishing through the development of geospatial models for the northern BoB region and carried out under the affiliation of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). At present, I am working as a Research Associate (RA) in the India Meteorological Department (IMD) at the RMC Guwahati office. Besides, the operational weather forecast services, I am also involved in various research activities under the Gramin Krishi Mausam Sewa (GKMS) scheme rendered by IMD. My research outputs have been communicated as several research articles and published in highly reputed peer-reviewed journals, books, magazines etc.
