This Privacy Policy explains how PDF Scanner handles information when you use the application.
PDF Scanner is designed as an offline-first document scanning and organization application. Core document scanning, PDF management, and text recognition are performed on your device.

1. INFORMATION PDF SCANNER COLLECTS
PDF Scanner does not require you to create an account.
PDF Scanner does not use advertising, analytics, or tracking technologies.
We do not operate a service that receives your scanned documents, imported PDFs, recognized text, folders, tags, favorites, or document-library information.
The app may process and store information locally on your device in order to provide its features. This can include:
• Scanned document images
• PDF documents
• Imported PDF files
• Text recognized from documents
• Document names and metadata
• Folders
• Tags
• Favorites
• Search and organization information
• App settings
• Backup information
2. DOCUMENT SCANNING AND CAMERA ACCESS
PDF Scanner uses your iPhone's camera when you choose to scan a paper document.
Camera access is used to provide the document scanning functionality.
The app does not use the camera for advertising, analytics, tracking, or profiling.
You can manage camera permission through your iPhone's privacy settings.
3. ON-DEVICE TEXT RECOGNITION (OCR)
PDF Scanner provides Optical Character Recognition (OCR) functionality.
Supported text recognition is performed on your device using system technologies provided by iOS.
Recognized text may be stored locally as part of your document library so that app features such as document management and search can operate.
4. IMPORTING DOCUMENTS
PDF Scanner allows you to select and import PDF files through Apple's Files interface.
The storage location or file provider you select may be provided by Apple or by a third party.
For example, you may choose a file stored locally on your iPhone, in iCloud Drive, or through another file provider available on your device.
Those external services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
5. SHARING AND EXPORTING
PDF Scanner does not automatically send your documents to other people or external services.
If you choose to share or export a document, iOS may present Apple's system sharing interface and the apps or services available on your device.
Information you intentionally send to another application, person, cloud-storage provider, or other destination is subject to that recipient's privacy practices.
PDF Scanner does not control how a service selected by you handles information after you choose to send or store it there.
6. BACKUP AND RESTORE
PDF Scanner provides functionality for exporting and restoring backups through Apple's Files interface.
You choose where a backup is saved.
Depending on the location or file provider you select, a backup may remain on your device or may be stored or synchronized by Apple or another file provider.
Any external storage provider you choose operates according to its own terms and privacy practices.
7. ANALYTICS, ADVERTISING, AND TRACKING
PDF Scanner does not include advertising.
PDF Scanner does not use analytics to monitor your activity.
PDF Scanner does not track you across apps or websites for advertising or profiling purposes.
PDF Scanner does not sell personal information.
8. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
PDF Scanner may interact with Apple system features such as the camera, document scanner, Files interface, sharing interface, and other iOS functionality required to provide features you request.
If you intentionally select an external application or file provider through an iOS system interface, that provider may receive information you choose to send to it.
External providers are responsible for their own privacy practices.
9. DATA RETENTION
Documents, recognized text, organization information, and related app data may remain locally on your device until you delete the applicable information or remove the app, subject to the behavior of iOS and any backups or external storage locations you have chosen.
We do not maintain a developer-operated server containing your PDF Scanner document library.
If you export a backup or document to another location, you are responsible for managing copies stored at that location.
10. DELETING YOUR INFORMATION
You can delete documents from within PDF Scanner.
Because PDF Scanner does not require a user account and we do not maintain a developer-operated online document library, there is no online PDF Scanner account that needs to be deleted.
Removing the application may remove locally stored application data from your device. You should export or back up documents you wish to retain before deleting the app.
Copies that you previously exported or shared must be managed at the location or service to which you sent them.
11. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
PDF Scanner is a general-purpose productivity application and is not specifically directed to children.
We do not knowingly operate a service that collects children's document libraries or other personal information for advertising, analytics, or tracking.
12. SECURITY
PDF Scanner is designed to keep its core document processing and OCR functionality on the device.
However, no device, software application, or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for maintaining appropriate security for your iPhone and for any external locations or services to which you choose to export, share, or back up documents.
13. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
We do not operate a developer-controlled server that receives your PDF Scanner document library.
If you choose to export, share, synchronize, or back up information using Apple or another third-party provider, that provider may process information in other countries according to its own terms and privacy practices.
14. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy when PDF Scanner's features, privacy practices, or legal requirements change.
When the policy is updated, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised.
