Let's give your cover crops a boost. We can apply it into your standing crops without damaging yield. After you finish harvest, you will be left with a standing cover crop to help with erosion and weed control right out the gate. Let us alleviate one more task to do after a long harvest season.
Seeding into standing soybeans should be done before the soybeans have dropped more than 10% of their leaves (R6-R7). The leaf fall that occurs after seeding will act as mulch and provide good soil protection and moisture conservation. Rye or Wheat is the best option as it won't interfere with your sickle bar while cutting the soybeans.
Aerial seeding into standing corn should be delayed until the kernel milk line is at least 50% formed (late R5) with a mixture of Rye and Turnips.
