"Ask the right questions, and nature will open the door to her secrets" - Sir C V Raman

SUMMARY: Subrata Ghosh is an early-stage career researcher in the field of Materials for Energy Applications. With the PhD and 5+ years of postdoctoral experience in the design of nanomaterials, he is passionate about understanding the way they architect themselves and exploring the structure-property-performance relation for electrochemical energy-storage, wastewater & electrothermal applications. He has adequate communications and collaborative skills as evidenced by 40+ scientific research articles, national/international conference presentations, invited talks, supervising skills as mentored master and PhD students, capable of project proposal as proven by successful Marie Curie fellowship, and experience in several European (ENHANECR, EsPLORE) & company-based (Huasheng Graphite) project. In spare time, I enjoy playing cricket, football and table tennis, gardening, traveling & cooking.
He completed bachelor’s degree at the Vidyasagar University in 2007 and master’s degree in Physics at the Presidency College (University of Calcutta) in 2010. For doctoral thesis, "Vertical Graphene Nanosheets: Growth, Structure and Electrochemical Performances", he received a Ph.D. in Physical Science from the Homi Bhaba National Institute, India in 2016 after which he has postdoc experiences under Prof. Mathews from Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (2016-2017), Prof. Jeong from Chungbuk National University (2017-2018), the Republic of Korea, Dr. Barg the University of Manchester, United Kingdom (2019-2021) and as a Seal of Excellence Postdoctoral Fellow for MSCA-Horizon 2020 under European Commission at the Politecnico di Milano (2021-2022). Currently he is continuing my research journey as a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellow with Prof. Casari at the Politecnico di Milano (2022-contd.).
