Brief biodata

Dr. Subhasis Roy is working as Assistant Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Calcutta, India since 2013. He is currently working as a visiting researcher Raman Fellow, Ohio University, CEER, under supervision of Prof. Gerardine G. Botte. Dr. Roy received his PhD on Materials Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India in 2012. He obtained M.Tech in Energy Science and Technology and B. Tech in Chemical Engineering from Jadavpur and Vidyasagar university respectively. Before joining as a faculty member in Calcutta University, he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea for one year and also as Research Scientist at IISER, Kolkata. Dr. Roy has more than 40 publications, including 19 scientific research papers on peer-reviewed journals, 19 conference proceedings. He has two book chapters to his credit. Dr. Roy has been achieved many awards and crack many nationalized entrance examinations for higher study. He has been awarded the prestigious UGC-Raman Post-Doctoral Fellowship for 2015-16. He was awarded DST-Fast Track Young Scientist Start-Up Research Grant from Science and Engineering Research Board, Department of Science and Technology (SERB –DST), India, 2014-2017. Dr. Roy was also awarded as recognized Reviewer status in Construction and Building Materials, Elsevier in 2014. He received Venus International Research Awards (VIRA) 2016 as Outstanding Scientist for Initiatives, Discoveries, and Developments in the discipline of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. He is an editorial board member of 23 peer-reviewed international journals and reviewer for 24 international journals. He is a Member of many Professional Societies and reviewer of many international journals. Presently, he has involved himself in conducting research in chosen area of specialization, guiding PhD, M.Tech. students and teaching at undergraduate and post graduate level. Dr. Roy is expertise on perovskite Solar Cells, Multiferroic composite thin films, Photocatalyst for Water Splitting, Fuel Cell and Hydrogen energy. Dr. Roy’s fields of interest includes nanocomposite thin films, Solar cell fabrication and optimization, polymer nanofibre and nanoparticle synthesis.His Biography accepted for publication in " 2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century” 10th Edition, in 2017 issue (Ref. TINT10/c, 7th April, 2017) by International International Biographical Centre , United Kingdom. In recent, Editorial board of marvellous records book of India has been decided to publish Dr. Roy’s biography in 2017 issue as a " marvellous personality of India "
