I belong from an extremely small town Jiaganj under the historical district Murshidabad in state of West Bengal, India. It's amazing that such a town is culturally so diverse and so many people from different faiths Hindu, Muslims, Chiristians, Jains, Sikhs, Buddhists and others living with harmony for many decades. It's a good example of unity in diversity under the sacred thread of Indian democratic system.
Jiaganj & Azimganj are the twin cities (falls under the same municipality co-peration) on the banks of Bhagarathi (Ganges) river
The old name of Jiaganj was Baluchar, which was changed to Jiaganj during the Mughal Empire.
My education from primary to bachelors was all from this small town Jiaganj. I am highly indebted to all my teachers for their inspiration and guidance.
