Based on the results of the General Assembly held on October 25, 2025, it has been officially decided that Mr. Audie Burhan, a student of MSc Consumer Analytics & Marketing Strategy at the University of Leeds, will serve as the President of PPI Greater Leeds for the 2025/2026 term.

Welcome to the family, Intake 2025/2026!

PPI Greater Leeds successfully held the Welcoming Party 2025/2026, celebrating the arrival of new Indonesian students across the Greater Leeds area. The event was filled with laughter, new friendships, and the spirit of togetherness that defines our community abroad. Through games, performances, and shared stories, this gathering became more than just an introduction — it marked the beginning of a new journey and lasting connections among Indonesian students in Leeds. 🇮🇩💙

On this special occasion, PPI Greater Leeds proudly celebrated Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day with joy, unity, and national pride. The event brought together Indonesian students and friends from across Greater Leeds to honour the spirit of independence that continues to inspire us, even miles away from home. From traditional games and performances to laughter and shared memories, the celebration reflected our love for Indonesia and the warmth of our community abroad. ❤️✨

Though far from our homeland, our hearts remain close to the red and white spirit.

Our Indonesian Ambassador, Desra Percarya, visited University of Leeds and presented a public lecture on the subject of UK-Indonesia Relations and Foreign Policy, moderated by Dr Adam Tyson and with Dr Iain Clacher (LUBS), Prof Surya Subedi (Law), and Dr Edy Prasetyono (Universitas Indonesia) as panelists. This event is preceded by a concert performance using the Golden Thread gamelan set, a traditional Indonesian instrument, arranged with performers from the University of Leeds and the University of York

Beyond the food and festivities, Tutup Tahun Buka Tupperware 2024 was about reflecting on the past year, celebrating shared achievements, and creating stronger bonds within the Indonesian community in Leeds. It was a moment to appreciate how far we’ve come and look forward to the opportunities that 2025 will bring. We can’t wait to create more memories with you all in the coming year! 🎉
