Quantum Stuff Around Us
at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur
As we maneuver our lives, we are surrounded by materials, phenomena and mundane looking things which have the most exotic of quantum principles behind them.
We are a new group primarily of naive physics practitioners trying to make sense of these. We try to create minimal theoretical models, and use whichever tools at hand to understand them.
If you love tea samosa, and random chatter -- you may make a good ally.
We are at the fantastic physics department of IIT Kanpur -- in the middle of forestry lawns, scorching summer heat and chilling yet warm winters.
Most luckily we have an amazing set of condensed matter theorists and experimentalists around to interact, and we all form a part of the QCM group.
Drop by - in all probability you will just find us confused about something, and sipping tea.
