The Format of PSLE Math Explained
The PSLE Mathematics includes two papers students must complete on the same day. Each paper will last one hour and will cover the following topics.
1. PSLE Mathematics paper format
The Paper 1A exam consists of 20 multiple-choice questions, each with a 20% weightage. Paper 1B consists of 25 short-answer questions that earn a quarter of the total score. All running time is one hour.

2. PSLE foundation Mathematics paper format

Paper 1A consists of 30 multiple-choice questions for 33.4% of the total weight. Paper 1B consists of 20-point short-answer questions with a 22.2% weightage, and both exams are one hour long.
Paper 2 consists of 20-point short-answer questions with a 22.2% weightage and 20-point long-answer questions with a 22.2% weightage, with a one-hour time constraint for completion.

Paper 2
The PSLE Mathematics Paper 2 consists of 17 questions, 5 of which are two points short answer questions and 12 of which are three to five points long answer questions. The complete document has to be finished in 90 minutes. Students may use calculators for this test, but they must explicitly indicate the necessary solution strategies.
