Learn how to embroider and create your own design with needle and thread!

Would you like to learn how to embroider? Then this workshop is perfect for you! During the evening, I will teach you the basics of ‘free embroidery’. No experience is needed—everyone can join! You will learn how to transfer a pattern onto fabric, use different embroidery stitches, and start and finish your work neatly. I will also show you how to refine and complete your piece. All materials, including fabric and embroidery thread, will be provided, along with inspiring examples and patterns. Would you like to embroider your own clothing? That’s possible! Feel free to bring a T-shirt, blouse, or pair of trousers. If you use reading glasses, make sure to bring them along.

At the end of the evening, you will take your embroidery piece home along with enough thread to finish it later if needed. Want to join?

Learn punch-needling basics while creating your own tiny mask inspired by Romanian folklore that can scare away bad spirits, invite good fortune, or just look delightfully weird.

Your mask might be a cat, a goat, a funky creature or a familiar face. That's totally up to you! Once finished, it can become a wall-hanging or even a wearable pin to guard you or a loved one throughout the year. 

No experience needed, just bring your imagination (and your glasses!). At the end we’ll glue the masks with liquid latex, so expect a slightly ammonia-like smell in the studio for a short while. It's not harmful, just not the best smell out there.

All materials are provided, plus snacks and tea to keep us fueled.

Knot your way into jewelry making with a cozy creative evening!

Join me for a beginner-friendly macramé workshop where you’ll learn the essential knots to create your own handmade ring or bracelet using a simple, beautiful repeated pattern. We focus on wrapping stones this workshop.

During this 2.5-hour session, I’ll walk you through the basic macramé techniques and guide you in crafting your first piece of jewelry. You’ll work with durable wax cords, perfect for the micromacrame technique making a macrame jewerly requires, in a variety of colors and use simple tools like clips, rulers, and illustrated worksheets (yours to take home!). No needles involved, just your fingers and creativity!

Whether you finish your ring or bracelet during the session or take it home to complete at your own pace, you’ll leave with the skills and inspiration to keep knotting.

Jesmonite workshop bij Studio Boter - een avond vol Creativiteit en Groningse gezelligheid. Je bent van harte welkom!

Jesmonite, dé trend van dit moment. Kom ook en doe gezellig mee! Leer de basics van Jesmonite en maak je eigen homedeco. Tijdens deze 2,5u durende workshop, word je stap voor stap begeleid, zodat je nieuwe creatieve technieken leert en prachtige woondecoraties maakt, die je dezelfde avond nog mee naar huis kunt nemen!

Om je een indruk te geven:

Tijdens deze avond maak je je eigen Terrazzo en twee woonitems. We maken hierbij gebruik van Jesmonite -een milieuvriendelijk watergedragen hars-, om op die manier de terrazzo-look van Italiaanse tegels na te kunnen bootsen. Je wordt onder vakkundige leiding stap voor stap door het proces geloodst; van kleuren kiezen en mengen, terrazzo-chips maken, tot het product wegen, mengen, gieten en afwerken. Aan het eind van de workshop is jouw werk klaar om mee naar huis te nemen. 

Workshop highlights:

-       Alle materialen zijn aanwezig, thee en lekkers inbegrepen in de prijs.

Come join us for a fun and creative workshop where we will bring the beloved Koroks from The Legend of Zelda to life using stoneware clay!

Workshop Details:
Date: Saturday, November 22nd, from 12:30 till about 16:00
Cost: €35 (includes one Korok; additional Koroks are €5 each)
What you'll create: Your very own stoneware clay Korok, complete with its iconic leaf mask!

Please bring your own leaves to use as templates for the Korok masks. (The leaves should not be too big – approximately 5 cm (2 inches) is the ideal size.)

During the workshop, you will learn the techniques to sculpt and paint your Korok. Once you have created your little friend, we will handle the firing and glazing process for you.

After a few weeks, once the Koroks have been fired and glazed, you can pick them up at Studio Boter. We will notify you when they are ready!
