Project Description
For this project, I am to identify four different forms of digital media: an image, gif, audio, and video file. I am to also identify the licensing information and any sharing limitations the file may have.
Image (png, gif, jpg)
I found this image from Shutterstock. The license attached is a Royalty-Free license meaning that if you pay for the image, you can freely use it, distribute it, or change it however.
Animation (gif)
I identified this gif on Creative Commons. The description stated it on public domain via NASA. This means you can use it and distribute it freely.
Audi (wav, mp3)
Below, I have attached a Google Drive link to an mp3 file. This audio originates from NASA's public domain. This means I can freely use it or distribute it.
Video (mp4, mov, avi, embedded)
I identified this video on YouTube. It is from 88rising, a music recording company. According to their Terms of Service, you can use their content for personal, non-commercial usage freely.
Lesson Learned
From this project, I've learned how difficult it is to identify the licensing information, but also how important it is to do so. I never realized how severe it can be to misuse someone's work according to the license.
