Our first major achievement as the Students Choice Coalition was organizing and hosting a successful candidate forum. This event attracted around 60 engaged community members who gathered to hear directly from local board member candidates about their visions, ideas, and plans for the future.

The Students Choice Coalition followed up our successful candidate forum with a unique event titled 'Coffee with the Candidates,' structured similarly but with a more intimate setting. During this event, our president and program coordinator conducted interviews with the candidates before opening the floor to community questions. We created a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere by offering a selection of snacks, sweets, and coffee, while an amazing live band provided a vibrant backdrop of music, further fostering meaningful conversations between candidates and the community.

Our most recent and crowning achievement was winning the election. As the Students Choice Coalition, we proudly endorsed three candidates—and all three emerged victorious. Thanks to the momentum generated by our two major events, the 2025 Board of Education election saw the highest voter turnout since 2020, a testament to the engagement and impact we were able to inspire within the community.
