Climate change Facts
Climate change is a global problem that is acute for the entire international community. 97% of the world's climate scientists admit that humans are the main cause of the global warming observed since the middle of the 20th century. In this section of the website you can read some facts about climate change.
Human impact
According to most climate scientists, climate change does occur and is mainly due to human activity.
Temperature Rise
The surface of the Earth is warming. Over the last 100 years, the average annual temperature of the planet has increased by 0.74 ºC.
Nature
According to 2015 data, more than 40% of the world's coral reefs have been destroyed due to global warming. This dramatic climate change could further lead to the extinction of many plants and animals.
Climate change researches
Climate Change researches play a crucial part in understanding the phenomena and finding ways to cope with it. And actions must be definitely based on scientific research to predict possible consequences and to find the most realistic option. That’s why the En-ROAD simulator was developed. En-ROADS is a System Dynamics model developed by the MIT Sloan School of Business and Climate Interactive to provide better understanding of our climate future. By using the En-ROADS simulation model we allowed to create a scenario that can mitigate global warming to the internationally agreed target of less than 2°C to the year 2100. It’s also important to consider the economic, political, and social issues relevant to successful implementation of your policies. You can try to create your future
Climate change and Government’s failure
Our generation is the first to see the anthropogenic influence on climate changes. Scientists and eco-friends are doing their utmost to make governments finally start taking some action to prevent an ecological disaster. In the first 7 months of 2021, there were more than 160 tragic natural disasters around the world such as tsunamis, droughts, tropical cyclones and floods.
What measures have been taken by states? Despite well-known harmful impacts to the world’s climate system, countries are emitting greenhouse gases to drive economic growth and enhance human well being. Countries are degrading the world’s climate system, a common resource shared by every living thing, including people.
Eventually, what will global warming lead to and what will people do? The destruction of animal habitats and their subsequent extinction, the destruction of ecosystems as well as a dramatic increase in the overall temperature are all to be expected. Moreover, the continents will shrink due to melting glaciers. This will affect the population density body and a struggle for territory. But people will not solve problems. The deterioration of the situation will not lead to the realisation that the sunset of civilization has arrived. Flora, fauna will die, but humans will continue to kill the planet like a virus in a body.
