With Canva, students can create presentations, videos, and an array of graphics in a collaborative format where teachers can quickly deliver feedback. The site contains thousands of templates that are ready for teachers and students to use with ease.
Canva has the ability to integrate with a wide variety of learning management systems, including “Canvas, Schoology, Google Classroom, D2L, Blackboard, Moodle, Microsoft Teams” (Sheffer, 2023).
With the site, teachers can assign their students projects that let their creativity shine. These projects can lend themselves to Social Emotional Learning and include an “All about Me” presentation for teachers to get to know their new students. Teachers can also use the site to introduce themselves and their policies to the class through a video presentation. Canva’s graphics and design can also be used to maintain organization and structure within the virtual and traditional classroom using agenda slides.
Canva can be used to assess student knowledge of texts and other concepts with their provided templates that includes story board and informational presentations (Sheffer, 2023).
