Update #2
Dear CHN Client,
We hope you are keeping well during these challenging times. What a day!
In response to several host and student queries today, it has become clear that we need to reinforce some of the key messaging that is being shared. We share your concern for the health and well-being of our students and hosts. To that end, we sent the following messages this evening (see below).
We’ve also created a new FAQ page for students, here:
http://canadahomestaynetwork.ca/student-covid-19/
As always, please let me or your Regional Director know if you have any questions or would like to discuss our strategy. We are here and available for you, as always.
Kindest regards,
Jennifer Wilson
Managing Director

Update #1
Dear CHN Client,
This note is to introduce you to our COVID-19 Client FAQs Portal and let you know that we are encouraging CHN staff members to use virtual and remote-working tools in lieu of face-to-face meetings, school visits, and host/student orientation sessions.
Meeting virtually will go a long way in working toward an end to the spread of COVID-19 and a return to business as usual.
Also, as you know, agents are often in touch with us directly with concerns in the context of homestay. We will continue to do our best to keep you in the loop; the COVID-19 Client FAQs Portal includes the most recent key message distributed to agents.
Visit http://canadahomestaynetwork.ca/client-covid-19/ for more info.
We continue to monitor the issue closely, and will revise our approach if the Public Health Agency of Canada reassesses the risk in Canada.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your RM or email national@canadahomestaynetwork.ca.
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding!
Kindest regards,
Jennifer Wilson
Managing Director
