Open More (…) → Help in the app to try Tutorials 1, 2 and 3. Build songs as you learn to enter notes and rests, use strumming patterns and save chord fingerings. Help topics also include examples of the controls.
Free lets you create 2 personal songs with up to 4 measures each. Tutorial practice does not count toward the free song limit. Recording, data backup and restore, and PDF export are also free. Free PDFs include a Strumnote Free watermark.
Pro is a one-time in-app purchase, not a subscription. It removes personal song and measure limits and adds watermark-free PDFs and audio and video export. Check the Pro screen in the app for the current price.
Open Strumnote Pro from Settings (the gear icon), then tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the App Store with the Apple Account used for the original purchase and have an internet connection.
Restoring purchases checks your existing Pro entitlement. It is not a refund or another purchase, and it does not restore songs or recordings. If it still fails, email us the message shown and your app version.
On your old iPhone, open Settings → Back Up & Restore My Data and save a backup file. Keep it outside the app, somewhere your new phone can access, such as iCloud Drive in Files. On the new phone, select that backup file to restore it.
The backup includes songs, chords, patterns, recordings, settings and tutorial progress. There is no automatic sync. Restoring replaces your current data with the selected backup, so save a separate backup first if you need to keep the current data. Pro purchases are not included in the file; use Restore Purchases for Pro access.
This feature only adds back missing items originally supplied with the app. It cannot recover your own songs, edits or recordings. Use the data backup and restore feature to keep a copy of your work.
Allow microphone access for Strumnote in iPhone Settings to record. For playback, check the device volume and the audio output, including Bluetooth devices and headphones. After a phone call, return to the app and start playback again.
If the problem continues, tell us whether the play button changes and the playback cursor moves, along with your app and iOS versions. Back up your data before deleting the app.
Open More (…) → Export on the song screen and choose a format. PDF scores are available for free. PDFs without a watermark and audio and video export require Pro. If the song has a recording, you can include it in the audio or video export.
Use the iOS share sheet to save the finished file in Files or send it to an app of your choice.
