Because of the planning that goes into the weekend, we will not be able to accept late registrations or guarantee refunds for cancellations.
Yes, Dr. Ryba and Mr. Telloni have approved the event as an excused absence. Students who do not attend sixth grade camp will have a normal school day.
Activities include the following: canoeing, archery, kickball, hiking, high ropes course, fishing, outdoor cooking, and MUCH MORE!! Activities may change based on the weather and other logistical factors.
Parent volunteers will be needed to make this camping weekend a success. Camp staff will also be in attendance, but we rely on parents to help organize and execute our camp. All parent chaperones must have a valid background check.
Space is limited. Click HERE to register and pay.
Please note that we are only accepting 1 chaperone per family at this time. If more than one parent/guardian from the same family would like to chaperone, please register and we will add you to a waitlist.
We will do our best! A Bunk Request section is included in the Camper Registration form. This is where you can list up to 4 friends the camper would like to bunk with. We will try our best to place your child with at least one of their friends.
If your camper doesn't have specific bunk requests, no worries! We will place your child in a cabin where they are sure to make new friends.
We will be putting different groups together for activity rotations, so there are opportunities for campers to see different friends throughout the camp.
Our goal is to make sure everyone has fun and feels included!
We have buses that will take us to and from camp. The ride will take approximately 1 hour & 40 minutes to North Springfield, PA. Food and/or drinks are not permitted on the buses.
1:00 PM at the Southwest entrance to Southpark Mall between Dick's Sporting Goods and Dillard's.
You'll check in with the volunteers at the tables and then be directed to meet your camper's chaperone to drop off your camper.
Around 2:00 PM, same location as drop off.
We will send a message when we depart camp.
Please be on time to pick up your child.

We will be providing snacks between meals, but if you'd like to bring your own, you're welcome to. Snacks must be NUT-FREE and stored in an air-tight container. We don't want any critters visiting us in the cabins!
Kids can bring cell phones, but the reception at camp is spotty. Cell phones are the responsibility of the student. Chaperones and camp staff will not carry phones during the day and are not responsible for lost or stolen phones.
Yes! Part of the registration process includes listing any allergies and/or dietary restrictions. We will submit these to Camp Fitch and they will work with each camper to ensure his/her needs are met. The Camp can accommodate vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy free diets...please be specific on your registration form.
If your child has very specific dietary needs and you'd prefer to provide their meals for the weekend, please let us know.
If your camper needs to take any medications over the weekend, you will be coordinating that with your camper's chaperone. Chaperone assignments will be shared at the parent meeting in August. At that time, you can go over any medications that your child needs to take. We prefer chaperones to hold all prescription medications. The morning of check-in, you will meet up with your child's chaperone and can give all medications to him/her to care for during the camp weekend.
All medication (prescription & OTC) must be in original container and/or labeled w/pharmacy, child's name, dosage time and quantity to be given. Please put inside ziploc bag. UNLABELED MEDICATION WILL NOT BE ADMINISTERED.
