So, last night as I was trying to consciously fall asleep something very interesting happened. First, my body started to vibrate softly. I was excited because this had never happened before and I had read that this was something that generally happens when attempting this method. Next, the vibrations grew stronger and I mean much stronger. I started hearing this loud static-like sound in my ear which was overplayed with a high-pitched squealing sound. It was at this point that I started to get a little freaked out. I tried to keep myself calm but the fear was hard to shake. I then remember all of these sensations kind of fading away and coming back periodically. Next thing I know, I was in a false-awakening with some unnatural qualities to it. Then I really woke up and realized what happened.

My real question is if anyone has ever had vibrations this strong and throughout their whole body and sounds like what I described. If someone could explain what happened that would be great. I was a little freaked out upon waking up. Haha.

There are several possible causes for noise and vibration in a condo, including structural issues, mechanical systems, and external sources such as traffic or construction. It is important to identify the source of the noise and vibration in order to address it effectively.

There are various devices that can be used to measure noise and vibration levels, such as sound level meters and accelerometers. These instruments can provide data on the intensity and frequency of the noise and vibration, which can help identify the source and determine the appropriate solution.

Prolonged exposure to high levels of noise and vibration can have negative effects on a person's physical and mental health, including hearing loss, sleep disturbance, and stress. It is important to address these issues to maintain a healthy living environment.

There are several ways to reduce noise and vibration in a condo, depending on the source. For structural issues, solutions may include reinforcing walls and floors, or installing soundproofing materials. For mechanical systems, regular maintenance and repairs can help reduce noise and vibration. In some cases, external sources may require community or city-wide efforts to address.

Each condo association may have its own bylaws and regulations regarding noise and vibration. It is important to review these and understand your rights as a condo owner. If the noise and vibration are caused by a neighbor, it may be necessary to discuss the issue with them and seek mediation or involve the condo association to find a resolution.

Others have suggested valid alternative theories. Wahoo did have a generation of trainers that developed a high speed vibration, so it might be that as well. Here again - a good technician at your local Wahoo dealer should be able to offer a firsthand opinion on this possibility.

I have a 2 wk old Core and get the same vibration feel when going over 200wat, it also seems like the chain is vibrating up and down which could be the cause. I swapped chain and having the same issue.

While most of our picks for the best alarm clock use beeps or music to wake you up, lots of people may opt for an alarm that doesn't rely on sound, including those who are deaf or hard of hearing, earplug wearers, or very heavy sleepers. Many people are also on different schedules than their partners or roommates and don't want to disturb them.

If your goal is a completely silent wake-up, the Philips SmartSleep Connected light might work for you. Before your alarm is scheduled to go off, it dimly lights up then gradually brightens as your wake-up time approaches. There are sound options, too, if you need them, including FM radio.

You can increase the brightness level (or fully go without the light if you prefer). It gets pretty intense, which you might need if you're a deep sleeper. I found that I wasn't disturbed by the light when it was on my partner's nightstand if I was facing the other direction. But if your partner is a light sleeper, they may wake up from the brightness.

Almost everything about the SmartSleep Connected is customizable. You can set over a dozen alarms with different light hues; several sound options, from waves to birds to Nepal bowls; and varying snooze lengths. You can choose how long before your alarm goes off you want the wake-up cycle to begin, between 5 and 40 minutes.

Despite the name, the Sonic Bomb Extra-Loud Alarm Clock doesn't solely rely on sound to wake you up. Put the puck-like shaker under your mattress, and the vibration will almost certainly jolt you awake.

It's not exactly a pleasant way to wake up, and the vibration isn't silent either. But for people who are deaf or hard of hearing, a physical alarm that isn't sound-based could be useful if a light-based alarm isn't reliable enough.

If you sleep with a partner in your bed, there's a good chance this alarm will wake them up too. Even with a very thick mattress, I could feel the alarm buzzing from the other side of the bed. The resulting sound wasn't very muffled, either.

I liked that this alarm was pretty customizable for the price. You can wake up with just the vibration or a buzzing sound or combine them. The tone of the buzzer can be changed, and you can opt to turn the flashing lights on or off.

For those who like to fall asleep to music or podcasts and wake up with sound cues, a comfortable pair of sleep headphones can be a great solution. AcousticSheep's SleepPhones are breathable and washable and can go days without you needing to charge them.

Setup: For each alarm, I tried to set it up without reading the instructions to see how intuitive they were. I then set them up again after reading the manual to make sure the directions were easy to follow.

Performance: I used each alarm for at least three nights. I evaluated how easy it was to set alarms, whether the alarm consistently woke me up, and how difficult it was to shut off and snooze the alarms. For at least one night, I put the alarm on my partner's side of the bed or had him use it so I could see if I was disturbed when he woke up.

Special features: I tested features such as Bluetooth or WiFi connectivity, accompanying mobile apps, wind-down programs, and night lights to see if they were helpful and simple to use.

Durability: To test how breakable each alarm clock was, I pushed each off my nightstand. They all passed this test, though the Mesqool's battery cover did pop off. (I was able to put it back on.)

Internationally accepted exposure-response relationships show that railway noise causes less annoyance than road traffic and aircraft noise. Railway transport, both passenger and freight transport, is increasing, and new railway lines are planned for environmental reasons. The combination of more frequent railway traffic and faster and heavier trains will, most probably, lead to more disturbances from railway traffic in the near future. To effectively plan for mitigations against noise and vibration from railway traffic, new studies are needed to obtain a better basis of knowledge. The main objectives of the present study was to investigate how the relationship between noise levels from railway traffic and general annoyance is influenced by (i) number of trains, (ii) the presence of ground borne vibrations, and (iii) building situational factors, such as orientation of balcony/patio and bedroom window. Socio-acoustic field studies were executed in residential areas; (1) with relatively intense railway traffic; (2) with strong vibrations, and; (3) with the most intense railway traffic in the country. Data was obtained for 1695 respondents exposed to sound levels ranging from L(Aeq,24h) 45 to 65 dB. Both number of trains and presence of ground-borne vibrations, and not just the noise level per se, are of relevance for how annoying railway noise is perceived. The results imply that, for the proportion annoyed to be equal, a 5 - 7 dB lower noise level is needed in areas where the railway traffic causes strong ground-borne vibrations and in areas with a very large number of trains. General noise annoyance was twice as high among residents in dwellings with balcony / patio oriented towards the railway and about 1.5 times higher among residents with bedroom windows facing the railway. e24fc04721
