Privacy Policy — Stroka
========================================
Effective: 24 Aug 2026 · Last updated: 24 Aug 2026
Applies to the Stroka Mobile application uploaded on Google Play Store.
Stroka does not collect any data about you or your child. No name, no email,
no identifier, no usage statistic. There is no account to create and nothing to sign in to.
Stroka does not have permission to use the internet. The app is technically incapable of
sending your information anywhere.
1. What we collect
----------------------------------------
Nothing. Stroka contains no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, no
tracking technology of any kind, and no third-party SDKs that gather data.
We do not know who you are, how often you open the app, or what you draw.
2. Permissions the app requests
----------------------------------------
Permission — Why
VIBRATE — To make the drawing tools feel textured under your finger. It cannot identify anyone.
com.android.vending.BILLING — Added automatically by Google Play Billing, so the optional one-time purchase can be made. It grants no access to your device or your data.
Stroka does not request the INTERNET permission, does not request location,
camera, microphone, contacts, storage or phone permissions, and does not read your device identifiers.
3. What is stored, and where
----------------------------------------
Your drawings, saved pictures and settings are written to private storage on your own device.
No other app can read them, and neither can we.
Uninstalling Stroka deletes all of it. There is no copy on our side, because there is no
“our side”. If your work matters to you, share or export it before uninstalling.
4. Android backup
----------------------------------------
Stroka uses Android's standard app backup. This means your saved pictures and settings may be
included in the device backup that Android makes to your own Google account, if you have
device backup switched on in your Android settings.
This is a feature of Android, between you and Google — it exists so a child's artwork survives
changing phones. We have no access to it, and it is never sent to us. You can turn it off in your
device's Settings, under System → Backup. Google's handling of it is covered by
Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
5. Sharing a picture
----------------------------------------
If you choose to share a drawing, Android's own share sheet opens and the picture is passed to
whichever app you pick — a messaging app, email, your photo gallery. This only ever happens when
you tap share. Nothing is shared automatically, and the picture does not pass through us. Once it
reaches another app, that app's own privacy policy applies.
6. Purchases
----------------------------------------
Stroka offers one optional, one-time purchase that unlocks additional pictures and
tools. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
The purchase is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see or receive your
card details, billing address or any payment information. The app stores only a simple flag on your
own device recording that the unlock was bought, so it keeps working when you are offline.
Purchases sit behind a parental gate — a question a young child is unlikely to answer — so a child
cannot begin a purchase on their own. Google's handling of your payment is covered by
Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
7. Children's privacy
----------------------------------------
Stroka is designed for children and is intended to be used by them.
Because the app collects no personal information whatsoever, there is nothing for us to disclose,
share, sell or retain. This is by design, and it is how we meet the requirements of the Children's
Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, and the GDPR's provisions
on children.
• No advertising of any kind — none at all, personalised or otherwise.
• No social features, no chat, no user-to-user contact.
• No links out to the web from inside the child-facing parts of the app.
• No prompts to rate, share or invite aimed at a child.
8. Third parties
----------------------------------------
Stroka contains no advertising networks, no analytics providers and no social network
integrations. The only third party involved is Google Play — and only if you make a
purchase, install an update, or have Android's device backup switched on.
9. Your choices
----------------------------------------
• Delete everything: uninstall the app. All local content goes with it.
• Delete individual pictures: from the gallery inside the app, at any time.
• Stop Android backup: device Settings → System → Backup.
• Request data deletion from us: not applicable — we hold none.
10. Security
----------------------------------------
The strongest protection here is structural rather than technical: data that is never collected
and never transmitted cannot be intercepted, leaked or breached. Your content stays in the app's
private storage area, which Android isolates from other applications.
11. Changes to this policy
----------------------------------------
If this policy changes, the updated version will appear at this same address with a new
“last updated” date. If a future version of the app ever began collecting data — which we have no
plan to do — we would say so here clearly, and in advance.
