About Stroka

Stroka is a calm, ad-free coloring and drawing app for children — built to feel

good in the hand and sound good in the ear.

Every line you draw makes its own sound. Draw slowly and the pencil is soft and

wide; flick quickly and it thins and lightens, exactly like a real pencil on

real paper. Nothing is a recording — the sound is generated as you move, so no

two strokes are ever quite the same. Add a background of rain, waves, wind or a

quiet night, and the whole app becomes somewhere calm to sit.

WHAT'S INSIDE

Free drawing

Pencil, marker, chalk, neon, glitter and watercolour, on smooth, rough, canvas

or craft paper. Slide the tip from fine to broad. Fill with the bucket, rub out

with the eraser, and step back with undo at any time.

Coloring

Tap to fill hand-drawn pictures — animals, food, vehicles, castles and more.

Miss a small part and it still fills what you were aiming at.

Tracing

Follow the dots to trace pictures, the whole alphabet in capitals and small

letters, and the numbers. Trace the same letter as many times as you like —

there is a repeat button, because writing is practice, not a level to clear.

Rub to reveal

Scratch away the cover to find the picture hiding underneath.

Bubble wrap and sensory play

Pop a whole sheet of bubbles. Scrape a rainbow out from under the dark. Flick a

big bubble around the screen, catch it, squeeze it between two fingers and split

it in two.

Magic garden

Plant and grow a little garden that keeps living while you watch.

Quiet time

A timer, a soundscape, and a page with nothing to finish. The buttons fade away

while you draw so there is nothing on screen but the drawing.

Today's challenge
