The Physics Department is located in the area of "Polo Scientifico" in Sesto Fiorentino, which is outside Florence, past the airport (FLR).
The main entrance is in Via G. Sansone 1 and the Theory group offices are located on the 2nd floor, opposite the main entrance (from the main stair go to your right when you get to the 2nd floor).

How to reach the Physics Department with public transit
From the main railway station Firenze S.M.N. or downtown Florence
Tram T1 + Bus 59: Take tram T1 direction "Careggi-Ospedale" and get off at "Morgagni-Università". From there walk to the bus stop "Del Garbo T1 Morgagni" and take bus 59 direction "Schiff". When you get off the tram, walk back on Viale Morgagni to the crossing with Via Dino del Garbo. The 59 bus stop is in Via del Garbo, on your left at the crossing.
Train to Firenze Rifredi + Bus 59: Take a train from "Firenze SMN" to "Firenze Rifredi". In "Firenze Rifredi" take the exit to Via Vasco de Gama (left side taking the direction of movement of your train as a reference). From there, look for the "Firenze Nova" bus stop, on the parallel street Via Panciatichi. From the "Firenze Nova" stop take bus 59 to stop "Schiff".
The bus ticket is valid for the train as well as the bus/tram (one ticket for the whole trip). Please remember to validate your ticket on the bus and tram, or in the railway station at the yellow stamping machines before getting on the train.
Train tickets are NOT valid for buses and trams.
Bus tickets can be bought from automatic vending machines (at tram stops) and many kiosks and tobacconist shops.
