STREE SHAKTI is Association of Women LIS Professionals. 

It is an association of the women, by the women, for the women!

This WhatsApp group has been created to

- empower women by providing a platform to display/develop their knowledge and skills

- share problems, discuss how to resolve and find solutions thereby helping fellow women professionals

·       All information that is related or relevant to LIS women only.

·       *All Indian and foreign languages text/audio/video/images etc are allowed only when accompanied with atleast one line English description/summary.* Please note that if all women members cannot understand all languages. The message shared in language other than English is useless. Example: Bengali or Marathi cannot be understood by most South Indians or Tamil or Telugu by almost all North Indians nor French or German by most of us, so be kind and translate in English.

·       *MANDATORY* – Display your full name by going into Settings > Profile > Save your Full Name as it helps in addressing person when giving response.

·       Respectfully address and communicate with each other in a professional manner using formal language and tone while texting or talking with each other. STRICTLY rudeness or indiscipline of one member will not be tolerated by group members.

·       Please do not cut the flow of discussion by posting any other information in-between, unless it is breaking news of catastrophic nature like earthquakes etc. Example: Do not post good news like got promotion in between when news of death of fellow professional is announced as all are posting condolences messages!

·       Be responsible - save time and data of self and others!
