Mauro Mancini is Assistant Professor (RTD-A) in the STREAM Robotics group. He graduated in 2019 in Aerospace Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino, with a Master thesis focused on Guidance, Navigation and Control algorithms for proximity operations in space applications. He obtained a PhD in aerospace engineering from the Politecnico di Torino in 2023, spending a period at the LAAS-CNRS in Toulouse (France) as a visiting PhD student. The PhD focused on attitude control of flexible spacecraft under actuation constraints. His research interests are the development of control laws and observers of the classical, non-linear variable structure (sliding mode type) and adaptive type.Â
