Fabio Faliero is a PhD Student in the Control Systems field applied to Aerospace Engineering at Politecnico di Torino. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Mechatronic Engineering from the same institution. During his Master’s thesis, he focused on the design and application of Model Predictive Control (MPC) algorithms for Autonomous Driving. He served as a Graduate Research Assistant, where he developed optimal control algorithms for the ISWEC project by ENI, specializing in wave energy recovery systems. Currently, his research activity centers on novel optimal control algorithms for distributed robotic systems. His work aims to develop robust GNC (Guidance, Navigation, and Control) strategies for multi-agent systems, ensuring high performance even in the presence of modeling uncertainties and external disturbances. By balancing computational efficiency with formal guarantees of robustness, his research seeks to bridge the gap between complex theoretical models and real-world robotic applications.
