STREAM Launch Day
STREAM Launch Day
STREAM was officially launched to 19 schools in the Three Rivers area of Hertfordshire in November 2022, via the Student Council Forum. Three Rivers District Council are generously supporting the initiative as pupil voice, and the democratic way that STREAM Projects/Events will be chosen by our education communities, will be central to it's success. However, STREAM is open to any school! (Get in touch via the contact page)
See the slides for how we *think* it will look!
Will there be other benefits for educators?
By sharing high quality learning resources and opportunities, teachers can learn from each other whilst building networks of like-minded, forward thinking colleagues. Possibilities for more formal CPD & networking opps.
The more we can expose our learners (teachers & students) to different settings and higher Key Stages, potentially, the easier the transition (Especially Y6 into Y7).
There is a huge opportunity here to set a STREAM task/challenge that could be adapted from EYFS through to KS5. This could lead to some fascinating progression research projects.
By being more 'outward facing' we can all benefit from the resources in our schools. In time, and with the right sponsorship in place, we also hope to purchase specialist resources that would be available on a loan system.
