Important change in medication procedure:
If your child will need a prescribed medication while at school, there has been a change to Klein ISD procedures. Prescribed medications will need a written order by a licensed healthcare provider. Clinic staff will not be able to use the prescription label as proof of the written medical order, as in the past. The licensed healthcare provider can use the Klein ISD Medication Authorization form, an action plan, or a letter from their office to provide their signed consent. If you have any questions, please contact our school clinic at nrye1@kleinisd.net.

e-Hallpass
Our biggest priority at Strack is the safety of all of our students, including knowing where students are in case of emergencies. Strack will be implementing e-Hallpass. e-Hallpass allows staff to issue hall passes to students anytime they need to leave a classroom. This new platform helps us manage how many students are in the hallways during the school day, helps us keep students in the classroom during essential instruction, and creates a safe environment for our students. While students are out of the classroom, the pass system monitors how long they are gone so that teachers can focus on the remaining students in the classroom. Our administrative team and security staff are able to monitor active hall passes building-wide to ensure we are able to provide effective supervision in appropriate areas.
Cell Phone during school hours
Parents, this is a reminder of Strack’s cell phone expectations.
No cell phones
To continue to maintain a safe and discipline learning environment cell phone use will not be permitted from the time students enter the building at 8:35am through 4:15pm. Cell phones are to be turned off and concealed in a students pocket, purse, bag, or backpack.
Please see campus cell phone policy here.
To ensure instructional time is maximized and personal distractions are minimized, students are not permitted to use cell phones/personal devices/wireless earbuds during the instructional day including the time of arrival through dismissal. Cell phones shall be turned off and concealed upon entering the building at 8:35am and remain off until 4:15pm. Failure to meet this expectation will result in the student being subject to classroom and/or office managed consequences.
**Only wired headphones may be used with your tablet for instructional purposes only at the direction of the teacher.**
Please see the Strack Intermediate Cell Phone / Personal Devise Policy linked here.
Horseplaying at school
Please remind your child to keep their hands and feet to themselves at all times while here at school. This includes touching, grabbing, pulling, and hugging other students during passing periods and in the classrooms. This behavior has led to injuries and misunderstandings between friends. We want to ensure a safe and comfortable learning environment for all students.
Hoodies at school
Parents it is a safety concern for students to be wearing hoodies during the school day. Effective immediately if a student is wearing a hoodie on top of their head disciplinary action will be taken. Thank you for taking the time to speak to your child about this, as it is our top priority to keep students and staff safe at Strack.
Personal devices not permitted on campus
KISD Technology would like to inform families that due to the impairment of content filtration and the lack of security mitigation, students will no longer be permitted to use their own personal devices on campus. Teachers or administrative staff will collect the personal device, store it in a secured location, and can be retrieved at the end of the school day.
