Arrival/Dismissal Procedures 

• First Day Only: All students must pick up their schedule. 6th grade students will receive theirs in the gym. 7th and 8th grade students will receive theirs in the cafeteria.

• Doors to breakfast and the building will open at 8:35 each day.

• Breakfast will be available from 8:35-8:55 each day in the cafeteria. All food and drinks must remain in the cafeteria.

• Before school, 6th grade students who are done with breakfast or not eating breakfast will enter the main hallway through the commons and travel to the gym.

• Before school, 7th and 8th grade students will have the choice of waiting in the cafeteria or in the library.

Walkers/Car Riders enter through the gym doors. 

Bus Riders will enter/exit the building through the back library door and music commons doors. 

Dismissal

• Starting at 4:15, all students will have a staggered release by their specific type of transportation. 

• Buses will be delayed on the first week of school. We appreciate your patience. Bus riders will exit and load as their bus groups arrive.

• Families & students may find their bus route information on the Klein website. This information will be updated August 5th.

  1. In the afternoon, students/teachers have a Live Bus Feed to check which buses are present. If it is green/present then they go straight to the bus lot. If the bus has not arrived, then they will go to the cafeteria.

• Students walking or riding bikes home should immediately leave campus following release. Make sure to use the crosswalks.

  1. Afternoon Walkers / bike riders crossing at Kuykendahl will be escorted through the cafeteria t the crossing guard. 

  2. All other Walkers can exit the gym doors.

• Students who are being picked up in the car rider line will exit the building near the gym and wait outside of the gym exit for their ride.

• If families would like to have their student meet them off campus, please make prior arrangement with your child.

Car Riders

• Families picking up car riders will be picked up in the front of the gym exit. Cars will need to make two lines. Please stay in your car and your child will come to you. Students can only cross at the crosswalk by the gym to enter a car in the outside lane.

• Students will not be permitted enter into the parking lot to get in a waiting car for any reason.

Parents, for the safety of our students it is extremely important for students to only cross at the crosswalk by the gym.  Also, students are NOT to walk into the parking lot to get into a parked car that is waiting.  If you do not want to go through the car rider line then please set up a location off campus to meet your student. (Near Burger King or the office buildings to the right of the campus)
