Week 2: Focus: Understand and Experience Reflective learning
T 8/30 : "Portfolio Keeping" and start your own Google Site
In class you will: share (in pairs) the first draft of your Google Site, share helpful resources with one another for creating sites; discuss the following concepts: process portfolio vs. presentation portfolio, metacognition, working folder, labeling system, reflective learning
suggestions: write out the "Time to Reflect" #1 on p.8 in your journal; read the book all the way through "lightly" but focus with more depth on part 1.

Instructions: choose something from each chapter that you would want to talk about--either a quote you want to read and analyze, or a question about something specific you want to pose to the class. Week 11 Focus: How Scholars Work / BEGIN STORY-SHARING AT BON AIR
T 11/1 Richmond's Unhealed History: We are going to focus on chapters 4-8 in this book. RUH allows us to see how scholars use different kinds of sources to create a narrative. Your writing project related to this book is Writing Project 3 on the writing projects page
Th 11/3 Discuss RUH. Begin Activity: Identify one Source from RUH
