The colors of month for July are White, Yellow, and Gray. Additionally "Penguin Elements" art contest is now live, blueberry ice cream is closed.
Posting Guidelines Salmon Cloud♾️

Due to the widespread adoption of the internet copying and mass reproducing material is easier than ever, it's not easy for a company to monopolize data itself with the use of complex algorithms and now artificial intelligence programs (which are really statistical machine learning models which are exceptional at pattern recognition and can sift through an enormous amount of data in brief periods of time) This document is not intended for giving a moral opinion on artificial intelligence and the internet, go to aiwars on reddit to find a mixture of AI-bro/Anti talking points that fit you best. Instead, I outlined methods to moderate content uploads without a traceable source to prove that the content created is indeed made by a person, generated by an AI model, or truly from the sources claimed. This is to make sure moderation is more efficient when we have to tackle situations of people using the work of others or receiving false accusations of plagiarism / IP infringement. Technically any derivative work including fanart can be considered copyright infringement and any AI model trained off copyrighted material can produce a copyright infringement output when explicitly asked, we will review everything on a case-by-case basis.
Non-Derivative works are built from scratch, they may include some citations or references from other areas, however the vast majority of the work is original and the use of external sources is fairly minimal. New songs, stories, characters outside of an existing universe, games, code behind AI models / models themselves (output of these models can vary from protected to copyright infringement depending on what is generated, but the model itself is protected not necessarily its training data), video game assets, artwork collections (not the style itself).
Derivative works including edits, song covers/remixes, generative AI containing copyrighted characters or objects/brands, all fanart/fan games even including original characters, written essays, any many others. While technically all work is derivative, in this particular context we are referring to anything that takes a large portion of elements from an existing work.
Any information regarding important world events, news, scientific studies, game development leaks, etc should have a clear source attached. We can’t have misinformation and rumors spreading without a real cause. For example if a study that conducted an experiment on those who contracted influenza H3N2 subclade k was released, a clear link would need to be provided to check any claims. Intentionally falsifying information being reported is a bannable offense and should not be done, make sure you read articles carefully (not just the headline or first page).
Spoilers must be kept to specific channels and are not to be discussed outside in regular chat settings. This rule is not for me, but for those who do not want to see spoilers and have their experiences ruined before a movie or major game releases. Spoilers should always be blacked out on discord. Spoilers do not apply to real life events, they only apply to media that is consumed, leaking troop movements is not a spoiler, however it easily could be illegal depending on your country of origin.
You are allowed to post any medium of content no matter how it was produced, this means anything can be posted as long as it follows community guidelines. There is no separate posting guideline for ai-generated content, it will follow the same statutes in community statutes. However, in regards to authorship there are strict rules that you must follow. Any work you upload or create can be classified into three categories “Cannot Use”, “Permission Required”, “No Permissions”. These general rules apply to people within the community or are community adjacent, for large companies where accreditation is unfeasible this policy is void.
Cannot Use refers to any work created by an author that other people are not allowed to modify, repost, or use for any purpose; posts that violate this tag will be removed and the poster penalized.
Permission Required - Work created by an author that others can only modify, repost, etc when permission is given, while we cannot control what someone does in private, we can control posts. When you provide permission to a user they must abide by the usage terms you have allotted to them, once they make their post they must tag you. The person granting permission must cosign that they have agreed to their work being used within a week before a post is removed, for cases involving lying or discrepancy the post will be removed and both parties will receive a temporary mute.
No Permissions - This category means the author allows you to use their work for any reason without permission, all of StormCoderWorld’s falls under this category unless explicitly stated otherwise. Credit is not required as these pieces are considered public property. Significant modifications to these assets can have an CU or PR tag placed upon them.
Within the end of your post, include the initials CU, PR, or NP. If PR is present, also specify your rules.
For reposts of PR category credit through an @ is required, for NP no direct credit is required. Is it advised to watermark your images, if a watermark is removed in a repost by someone else we can easily remove their post. While AI can remove watermarks very easily, their removal lets us know that unauthorized modification has taken place when the author only posted a watermarked work. Watermarks must also follow community statutes.
Even with all of these rules outlined here, your work or whatever you post must remain within the community statutes. You cannot submit any work that is NSFW of any kind.
Use this format when possible for certifying your content in case it is taken down or there is a dispute.
Non-Derivative \ Derivative Work (Required, make sure to above definitions)

Community Statutes for Salmon Cloud♾️
Updated: June 1, 2026
For all general purposes every social media platform and places of public discourse require some level of moderation for maintenance of social decorum for everyone to have conversations peacefully. For my channel this is no different, however I am making the environment generally suitable for both serious and trivial discussion. Below you will find various categories that outline various topics and how this channel moderates them, as more technological advancements or world events happen this document will be updated accordingly. It is not expected that you memorize every rule listed, however, you are responsible for abiding by rules and therefore should read them before performing any action that could be considered a violation. I do use complex language and will define terminology accordingly.
1. No discrimination based on appearance, sexuality(romantic preference), gender disposition, ethnicity, or value disagreement(you can choose not to support, but not actively exclude unless they are doing the previous 4.).
2. Political discussion is welcomed and encouraged, however do not promote terrorist organizations, scammers, or political parties/politicians charged with crimes by the ICJ or ICC. No promotion of political violence is allowed, it can be discussed but not actively advocated for.
3. Do not minimize concerns, questions, or health conditions of others. Harassment, especially ableist rhetoric including the use of ‘retarded’ as a description of someone, is bannable.
4. Profanity is allowed, however NSFW content of all forms, whether it be violent or sexual is not permitted. Keep revealing clothing to a minimum.
5. Any type of media can be submitted as long as you are respecting another person’s intellectual property, essentially do not use another person’s content in any form unless given explicit permission that is confirmable.
6. Deepfakes of people without their permission will be removed, likewise any nsfw deepfakes will receive an immediate ban once discovered. Deepfakes include audio, video, images, and any other medium in which a person can be impersonated. Do not impersonate others!
Generative artificial intelligence or more accurately algorithmic image generators, large language models, generative pretrained transformers, etc, are essentially neural networks modelled after the human brain where machines engage in “deep learning” to recognize patterns and output/recognize new information based on prior input. For the purposes of this channel we’re mainly discussing it in the context of artwork, not the philosophical discussion which you can debate. An AI model can be trained from writing, drawings, collages, music, and photos which later is generated in the likeness of a person’s work. I personally use AI generated tools for leisure mostly for photorealistic images, while I can claim ownership over any of the images if I put in substantial human effort according to US copyright law, I want all images made by me to be copyright free.
If generative AI is used in a work of yours or anything you post you must specify that it is AI generated, and whenever possible, credit the creator it is trained off, made the lora, or image you used as a reference. For example, training a lora model of splatoon characters generally would need basic credit similar to fanart, using specific art styles from creators outside a large company need specific credit. In this case you may not explicitly need permission because it's me, however for anyone else you should get permission before putting what they create into an AI model that is public or posting an image output from it (we cannot stop private generations only public posting). Generating copyrighted characters of others still gives them rights to their character, AI generated unless it is trained off your work, can still face copyright issues especially if monetized and without enough qualifications for fair use. Otherwise you can hold commissions for AI generated work as long as adequate credit is assigned and pricing is clearly outlayed. If a person states “Cannot Use”, “CU”, etc you cannot touch their work with or without generative AI.
No jokes about killing AI artists or anything of the like or pick up pencil/computer memes (AI is better than you) as a gotcha is not allowed. No portraying anti-AI adjacent folk as orcs or other caricatures, same thing for those who use AI (pro or not). Do not blame individuals for problems bigger than themselves, examples being RAM, climate change, electricity usage, etc. While everyone contributes indirectly to environmental degradation, one person using Chatgpt is not the reason Sam Altman wants to control 40% of the world’s dram. You can however talk about generative AI’s environmental and social impact through its use, computation, and the tools used to power it. Similar things with cars, plastics, etc.
Do not sell products within my community or server this will not be tolerated. You can mention your work, but no direct monetary transactions can take place in my community. Gambling websites in any form, whether it be promoting, showing you using them, linking to them, etc will not be tolerated and excised immediately.
Serious topics or heavy topics are conversations that can become emotionally charged as they discuss complex topics and are usually deep conversations. It is important to have these conversations to both see differing perspectives and to also solve problems, as not having them only exacerbates situations. Serious topics as mentioned before are allowed to be discussed in any channel, although longer conversations should be preserved for forum chats where it's easier to continue prior conversations. Discussion can continue as long as there is no personal attack on the other individual or assuming they are mentally ill for having a disagreement, these conversations have to conclude when personal attacks begin. Debates that turn into fights against the person directly should be deflected to direct messages or stopped entirely.
When posting articles please make sure the link is secure and also give proper context about the articles contents. Just reading a headline is not context, you must actually understand the article completely and account for any errors or limitations discussed by the authors. When discussing battlefield damage especially, wait until an official damage assessment or satellite imagery is done, you can speculate on losses/gains but you must confirm the information to post a definitive statement. Additionally if articles are paywalled, try to find one that's free where people can access it and form their own opinions.
You are allowed to self-advertise and promote others in dedicated advertising channels, no advertising is permitted elsewhere. When advertising you should explain what you are promoting, no direct links to purchasing/downloading a product are allowed but websites are fine. For example, you could be promoting a new game you developed in Python and want people to play it, a sample message could be “Hello, I have worked on [insert game name here] and I want people to test it and provide feedback for future development”. Advertising others doesn’t include talking about a youtube channel, advertising includes promoting the channel link/video or giving rewards for subscribing to them.
Type 5 Infractions: Deepfaking, discrimination, Ban Evasion, Child pornography, violent nsfw, Impersonation. Doxxing members. Hacking.
Result: Permanent Ban
Type 4 Infractions: Gambling, promoting gambling, selling products, solicitations, spreading content pertaining to drug creation/ weapons manufacturing, etc. Persistent Harassment
Result: At worst (Permanent Ban), usually multiyear ban or kick.
Type 3 Infractions: NSFW content, disregarding posting guidelines, disrupting the server, multiple type 1 and 2 infractions within a short time period. Disconnecting private battle rooms, Death jokes.
Result: Kick, mute, message removal, timeout for days to weeks.
Type 2 Infractions:
Loud noises in VC, inadequate posting (No permission ping, or credit assigned (first time)), spamming, overtalking other members, minimizing health hazards or individual concerns.
Results: Mute, Warning (Maximum of 5 per week), message removal. Timeout for hours to days.
Type 1 Infractions:
Typing multiple messages instead of one full message, name-calling, entering a restricted channel, inappropriate username (variable infraction), hard to read names (those with unique symbols that are not common on traditional keyboards). Giving off topic or unrelated responses to a genuine question someone has. Mini-modding (acting like a moderator instead of letting us handle it)
Result: Warning, message removal.
Splatoon Livestream Statutes
As my splatoon streams grow to a wider audience I will begin to prioritize who gets into a game first based on both their clan and moderator status in addition to whether they have played a game. I will also have strict guidelines over what you cannot do in private battles specifically or you will be blocked from playing. A short list that lacks detail but is concise will be provided below.
On YouTube for desktop users go to your YouTube studio customization tab and input [SC] Input username♾️, change your username as needed and remove brackets around input username.
For the mobile app go directly to your channel page, tap edit channel, and change your name that way.
Examples:
[SC] Cynthia♾️
[SC] Breadmuncher♾️
[SC] Splat2♾️
Moderators have top priority for entering a Splatoon game, followed immediately by those with the [SC]♾️ in their name. For those who haven’t played they receive priority over those who have, with only [SC]♾️members who also haven’t played taking slightly more priority.
Do not disrupt private battle games in any way, we want things to get done and people to have fun! I will block you if you are hurting your team purposefully or disconnecting the room.
Allow others to use the music box, will this be a minor offence, this can add up if you occupy it for more than 10 minutes per stream. Occupy as in not allow others to change music.
Room resets occur regularly every 2-3 matches when streams have 10+ people, allowing new people to play, if there are no new people/those who haven’t gotten to play yet, you may rejoin.
Be respectful of the skill levels of other players within the stream, do give advice to help with improvement but try to minimize patronization of others.
Playing with viewer streams allow a variety of people from around the world to have a chance to play with a livestreamer and be broadcast to others. Many people love these experiences, therefore it is important to ensure everyone gets in if possible. I also recognize those who adopted the [SC]♾️should receive more attention placed upon them as they are effectively representing a new splatoon community I am attempting to build. The paragraphs below will explain the joining policy for each group of people, that I can manually check. These paragraphs are also labeled so it’s easy to jump between them.
Viewers with the tag and/or SC in their handle will be prioritized to get into non-private battle or table turf rooms. I ask all non-SC viewers to wait, before joining.
Moderators have the most priority and will be provided a room-passcode directly so they can join. The room will then be opened to the public.
Those who haven’t played a match yet are prioritized to get into the next room. I will keep track of those who have not played previously, and will offer them a chance to join. [SC]♾️viewers get priority in terms of joining, and then regular viewers without the tag. In addition do add SC to your handle so it’s easier to check while I read chat.
For those who have played matches, if there are no people who have not played a match currently present you are free to rejoin the lobby. There is no queue priority here, it’s first-come-first serve.
Within any and all Splatoon matches regardless of whether they are private battles or not you should follow this etiquette protocol.
Do not purposefully disconnect
No mod-menus or hacks are allowed to be used
Do not abuse specials to exacerbate a disability in an enemy player, screen can be one example.
Spawncamping is disallowed for the sole purpose of splat farming without advancing the objective, spawncamping must be done while the objective is being conducted.
Avoid splatting over players trying to take a photo.
Allow others access to the jukebox, do not occupy it!
Impersonation of other players is not allowed, unless I allow it!
We want matches to feel like a competition or for fun, not as a place for harassment or cheating. If you cannot follow these rules I will block you, and you will not be allowed to play in future streams.
The pool for streams is always SC5 and the password is 5555 unless explicitly noted.
As long as you allow others to join games, join when you are supposed to, and do not disrupt others/exhibit toxicity you will be fine!
In the future I will outline what statutes are immutable, but for your specific information outright bans on anything besides violence or harassment broadly won't be really considered.
