A prior version of this problem-posing project used a paper-based approach. Please see below for the materials used for 8th grade math and Algebra I students. Each file is a .docx corresponding to a different interest area that can be printed. We grouped students by a popular culture interest area (cell phones, food, shopping, social media, sports, video games), and then they worked to pose their problems together. The intervention lasted approximately 4 50-minute class periods.
