How the Internet stole Easter
The language of the film is Croatian, with a mix or a unique dialect which is in fact listed as protected cultural property by the Minstry of culture.
Subtitles were not used because they would be in the way (it is a stop motion film, so subtitles would hide some movements).

1. scena: Čabarska šuma
Čuje se cvrkut ptica. Šumom prelijeću lastavice. Drveće se njiše. Slika vesele škole crvenog krova. Prema njoj idu likovi (polako se pojavljuju držeći se za ruke/šape). To su zečić Mrkvica, vjeverica, vučić i medo.
Pripovjedač: Stiglo je proljeće u čabarsku šumu, a životinje započele s pripremama za Uskrs.
2. scena: U školi
Pripovjedač: Najmlađi članovi šumske obitelji - zečić, medvjedić, vučić i vjeverica radosno su došli u školu i s nestrpljenjem očekivali uskrsni zadatak.
Čuje se školsko zvono. Zečić Mrkvica, vjeverica, medo i vuk sjede u klupi. Dobacuju se papirićima. Sruše učiteljičinu vazu. Učiteljica ulazi u razred i stane pred pločom na kojoj piše Uskrs.
Učiteljica: Djeco, molim vas da do petka opišete kako slavite Uskrs s obitelji.
Vuk: Ja ću napisati priču.
Vjeverica: A ja ću igrokaz.
Mrkvica: Jest bun ano pejsmico. Kumaj čakan da pačnen pisat.
3. scena: Na putu kući
Čuje se šuštanje drveća, cvrkut ptica, potočić.
Pripovjedač: Nastava je završila i životinjice su se uputile svojim kućama. Putem su razgovarale o uskršnjim običajima u obiteljima
Medo: Mi ćemo ove godine naručiti s interneta predivne ukrase.
Vučić: Moja je bakica umorna od pripremanja mesnih mmm delicija, zato ćemo ove godine i mi naručiti s interneta.
Vjeverica: U našoj obitelji svi čuvamo zubiće, zato ćemo preko interneta naći fine, ukusne, mekane kolačiće.
Mrkvica: Pa baš je fora Uskrs s interneta. Morat ću nagovoriti mamu i tatu da i mi imamo takav. Da se moderniziramo.
4. scena: U Mrkvičinoj kući
Čuju se zvukovi polke. Članovi obitelji imaju uskršnje pripreme – mama pegla stolnjak, baka mijesi kolače, sestra boji pisanice, tata izabire šunku za budel. Ulazi Mrkvica.
Pripovjedač: Mrkvica je ušao u kuhinju i ugledao mamu kako pegla uskršnji stolnjak. Sestra je bojila pisanice, baka mijesila tijesto za kolače, a tata izabirao najsočniju šunku za budel.
Mrkvica: „Joj, mama, spit star dosadan pr!“ (Mama: Al ta prt je Vezem! )
„Joj, seka, saku lejtu farbaš jejca na isto foro!“ (Sestra: Al ta jejca so Vezem!)
„Joj, baka, te tvaje suhi kalačke!“ (Baka: Al te kalačke so Vezem!)
„Joj, tata pa spit budel!“ (Tata: Al ta budel je Vezem!)
Mrkvica: Zak ne be i mi lejtas naručale Vezem z interneta pa da se i jest mau pahvalen v šule zes svajo pejsemco.
5. scena: Paket s interneta
Čuje se zvuk mobitela u dvorištu. Svi članovi obitelji opet su u pokretu.
Pripovjedač: Ujutro je zečju obitelj probudio zvuk mopeda na kojem je poštar Glodo dovezao naručeni paket s interneta.
Zvuk zvona i mopeda. Mrkvica uzima paket, stavlja ga na stolicu. Iz njega izlijeću stolnjak, kolači, pisanice, šunka. Čuje se razočarani uzdah.
Mama: Uf, al smrdi ta plastičan prt.
Tata: A fali mo i an dio.
Sestra: Ooo, ta jejca so baš nikakva.
Mrkvica: I sva su ista.
Baka: Joj, te kalačke nejmajo nikakav okus.
Mama: Pa še trdi so ko kamen.
Tata: Fuj, ta šunka ima čuden duh…
Mrkvica: A i farbo.
Sestra: Mrkvice, pakvaru si nan Vezem.
Mrkvica: Hedu me je žou, al še skuzej ga uohku papravmo.
6. scena: U školi
Vide se učenici u klupama i učiteljica pred pločom na kojoj piše: Sretan Uskrs!
Pripovjedač: Došao je dan za predstavljanje i ocjenjivanje pisanih uradaka i učiteljica je prozivala učenike. Mrkvica je dočekao svoj red.
Dok Mrkvica čita, svira smirujuća muzika.
PJESMA – Recept za duber Vezem (autorica: Jelena Križ, 7. razred)
Čuje se pljesak. Učiteljica tapša Mrkvicu po ramenu. Životinje mašu repićima. Mrkvica se premješta s noge na nogu.
Medo: Bravo, Mrkvice!
Vučić: To je pravi Uskrs!
Vjeverica: Tako je poseban!
Mrkvica: Kumej smo spasle Vezem od interneta.
Čuje se veseli smijeh.
Title of the animated film: How the Internet Stole Easter
Scene 1: Čabar Forest
Birds chirp. Swallows fly through the forest. Trees sway. A picture of a cheerful school with a red roof. The characters are walking towards it (they slowly appear holding hands/paws). They are Carrot the bunny, a squirrel, a wolf and a bear.
Narrator: Spring has arrived in the Čabar Forest, and the animals have begun preparing for Easter.
Scene 2: At School
Narrator: The youngest members of the forest family - Carrot, a bear, a wolf and a squirrel - happily came to school and were impatiently awaiting their Easter assignment.
The school bell rings. Carrot the bunny, the squirrel, the bear and the wolf are sitting in their desks. They throw pieces of paper at each other. They knock over the teacher's vase. The teacher enters the classroom and stands in front of the blackboard on which Easter is written.
Teacher: Children, please describe how you celebrate Easter with your family by Friday.
Wolf: I will write a story.
Squirrel: And I will do a play.
Carrot: And I will write a poem. I can't wait to start writing!
Scene 3: On the way home
You can hear the rustling of trees, the chirping of birds, a small stream.
Narrator: The lesson is over and the animals are heading home. On the way, they talked about Easter customs in their families
Bear: This year we will order beautiful decorations online.
Wolf: My grandmother is tired of preparing meaty delicacies, so this year we will order from the internet too.
Squirrel: In our family, we all take care of our teeth, so we will find nice, tasty, soft cookies online.
Carrot: Well, Easter from the Internet is really cool. I will have to convince my mom and dad to have one too. So we can modernize.
Scene 4: At Mrkvica's house
The sounds of polka are heard. The family members are making Easter preparations – mom is ironing the tablecloth, grandma is kneading the cookies, sister is dyeing the Easter eggs, dad is choosing the ham for the bun. Carrot enters.
Narrator: Carrot entered the kitchen and saw mom ironing the Easter tablecloth. The sister was dyeing the Easter eggs, grandma was kneading the dough for the cookies, and dad was choosing the juiciest ham for the bun.
Carrot: "Oh, mom, again with this boring old tablecloth!" (Mom: But this tablecloth represents Easter! )
"Oh, sister, you're painting the eggs the same way every year!" (Sister: But these eggs represents Easter!)
"Oh, grandma, those dry cookies of yours!" (Grandma:But these cookies represents Easter! )
"Oh, dad, not again with the stuffing!" (Dad: But this stuffing represents Easter! )
Carrot: Why don't we order Easter stuff from the Internet, like my friends. Then I can brag about it in school.
Scene 5: A package from the internet
The horn is heard in the yard. All the family members are on the move again.
Narrator: In the morning, the rabbit family is woken up by the sound of a moped on which the postman Glodo has brought a package ordered from the internet.
The sound of a bell and a moped.
Carrot takes the package, puts it on a chair. A tablecloth, cakes, Easter eggs, and ham fall out of it. A disappointed sigh is heard.
Mom: Ugh, that plastic tablecloth stinks.
Dad: And it's missing a piece.
Sister: Ooh, those eggs are just not good.
Carrot: And they're all the same.
Grandma: Oh, thosecookies don't taste good at all.
Mom: And they're hard as a stone.
Dad: Phew, that ham has a strange smell…
Carrot: And the color is off, too.
Sister: Carrot, you've ruined Easter for us!
Carrot: I'm so sorry! But we can fix it and do what we always did!
Scene 6: At school
Students are behind their desks and the teacher is in front of a blackboard that says: Happy Easter!
Narrator: The day for presenting and grading written work has come and the teacher is calling out the students. Carrot has waited for his turn.
While Carrot is reading, calming music is playing.
POEM – Recipe for a good Easter (explaining traditions and the value of old traditions)
Applause is heard. The teacher pats Carrot on the shoulder. The animals wag their tails. Carrot shifts from one foot to the other.
Teddy Bear: Well done, Carrot!
Wolf: That's a real Easter!
Squirrel: It's so special!
Carrot: We saved Easter from the Internet!
A cheerful laugh is heard.
