Filming Your Stop Motion Story
There are many ways to film your story depending on what devices you are working with. Any camera app would work. Take a picture each time you make a little move. Space on the device may be an issue, since a minute long movie can take up to 800 pictures depending on what you are doing.
You could also use a stop motion app such as iMotionHd -Here is a video tutorial
Don't Forget:
Getting your images off the device can be challenging.
Again, you have many options depending on what devices you have available.
If you are using an iPad, you may want to use iMotion ----> iMovie so images do not have to be taken off the device. If you are editing on a computer or Chromebook, you have to be able to export your images. You can do this by emailing clips or individual images, or connecting your device to the computer and transferring them manually.
My best advice is to just keep trying different workflows, workarounds, and options!
Editing
Select a method to edit your video and put it all together. Some options include:
iMovie - an app or Mac program
WeVideo- a free web-based editor- good for PC or Chromebooks
YouTube Editor- a free web-based editor- good for PC or Chromebooks but you need a YouTube account.
Add a title page, words, scene changes, music, and credits at the end using one of the editing tools above.
When you finish, be sure to get the video to a place with a link to access it. This means uploading it to YouTube or upload it to your Google Drive. Be sure to keep the access open so anyone can view. When using YouTube, keep the viewing settings as Unlisted.
