Reporting Illegal Fireworks

Which fireworks are illegal? 

In Contra Costa County, all fireworks are illegal unless they're part of a show put on by a licensed professional that has been permitted in advance by local authorities.

Seeing fireworks? 

Do not confront the fireworks users or put yourself in any danger. 

Know the location, such as the cross street, street address, or name of the park, before calling either the non-emergency police number or the county hotline below. Other information that would help police:  a description of the fireworks user(s), such as distinctive clothing, and a description of where the fireworks are stored, such as the trunk of a car or a garage.
