Stop Illegal Fireworks! (SIF) is a new grassroots effort in Richmond organized to end the use of illegal fireworks in our city. We believe the most important thing we can do is enlist everyone in Richmond to help reach this goal. Some of our ideas include creating signs to go inside of windows of homes and businesses, and working with city departments, Neighborhood Councils, the County Supervisor, the school district, and the media to initiate a fireworks buy-back program, offer rewards for tips leading to arrests of black-market vendors, and reach out to school-age children about the dangers of illegal fireworks use.  

Please complete the form below to join the movement. Don't worry, joining won't require attending meetings or a membership fee, and you won't be inundated with email. There are ways to help that only take a few minutes, like posting a sign in your window, sharing your story of how illegal fireworks have affected you, or writing your city council member.
