The conference will be held in person at our host school, Stonyhurst International School Penang. All committees are conducted offline.
There may be additional sessions held online before the conference, meant to assist delegates in navigating the challenges they will face and preparing for the conference. Details to follow.
Board of Dais applications will open in the 1st/2nd week of September 2026 and will close on November 1.
Delegate and Chaperone registrations are set to open by the end of October 2026 and will close on 7 February, 2027. For delegates, register before 27 December to enjoy a slight discount!
Secretariat: Internal only. All other registrations: just about anyone!
You may register using the relevant form found on our Registration page.
The registration fee is to be decided, but is expected to range from RM 60 to RM 100 (no more than RM 140). Early registrations before 27 December, as well as group delegations, will enjoy slightly discounted prices.
It will include access to the conference and venue, any of its preparatory sessions, meals and snacks for the 3-day event, networking sessions and socials, and a few souvenirs.
Accommodation will not be provided as part of the registration fee; Stonyhurst Penang also does not have on-campus dormitories. However, the Secretariat has recommended a few nearby hotels in the Delegate Handbook (soon to be released!).
Group delegations may enjoy a special price rate from Jazz Hotel Penang and Flamingo By The Beach Penang; registration forms are available soon and upon request.
Delegates are required to dress in formal attire at all times, with the exception of the Social Night (attire should be tidy and appropriate nonetheless). School uniforms are permitted if formal enough.
The typical age range for our delegates is from 12 to 19—nonetheless, there are no strict limitations. Due to safeguarding reasons, the age requirement is 16 and above for chaperones.
They are assigned to delegates based on availability and then preference. Delegates may refer to the Country Matrix.
We collect multiple options from students to ensure the maximum number of delegates get their preferred countries and committees; however, this may not always be possible.
Before the conference: Position Papers. More on PPs here.
During the conference: Working Papers and Draft Resolutions. More on DRs here.
More information about documentation and the flow of debate can be found in the Malaysian-HMUN Rules of Procedure.
