In 2015 the Strummers played 50 Gigs and raised a total of £2837.46 pence for the Rainbow Centre in Fareham. This is a photograph of some members of the group at the cheque presentation. The Strummers played their ukuleles, with the children supplying the percussion.
So far, the Strummers have played well over 200 gigs and raised over £16,000 pounds for local charities.
In December 2015 the chosen Charity was St Francis School in Fareham and all the monies received from the Strummers' Christmas concerts went to them. This is a photograph of Greg Long (Treasurer) handing over a cheque for £457.68 to Imogen (Assistant Head) at St Francis School in Fareham.
In 2016, the nominated charity was the Oakley Waterman Caravan Foundation. In May, Alan presented a cheque to Lorraine Waterman for £1400 with more to follow later in the year. Thanks to all those who have donated.
