The Rev'd. Joe Varghese (Rector)
Fr. Joe Varghese was inducted as Priest-In-Charge of the Northern Mallee on the 1st of February 2020. He enjoys the theology of three traditions: Oriental Orthodox faith (baptised), Pentecostal (brought up), and ordained in the Anglo-Catholic tradition. Fr. Joe is pursuing his PhD at the Pontifical Institute of Philosophy and Religion (Pune, India).
His keen interest in Evangelical Theology and heart for missions led him to do his Master’s thesis on The Uniqueness of λόγος in Multi-Religious Context: A Paradigm for Sharing of the Gospel in Contemporary Times.
He also defended a paper on 'The Lord's Supper and Justice' and on 'The Biblical Understanding of Human Suffering: A Study from the Book of Job.'
Fr. Joe was appointed as the Rural Dean of the Mallee Deanery on Saturday, 27 May 2023.

The Rev'd. Keith Nicholas (OLM and Assistant Priest)
As our own Ordained Local Minister, Fr Keith was ordained in 2010 to assist and support the ongoing ministry in the Northern Mallee. Prior to moving to Mildura, Keith worked in the Mines in Broken Hill as a Mechanical Engineer, with extensive supervisory experience in the Metalliferous Mining Industry for 38 years. The last 16 years have been spent at Level 2 Management within both Engineering and Human Resources Management. Fr. Keith has been a Licensed Lay Minister in both the Diocese of Riverina and the Diocese of Bendigo for a total of 26 years prior to his ordination. He has been the CFA Chaplain for the Loddon/Mallee, District 18, for the last 10 years, taking on responsibility for the Pastoral and Spiritual well-being of both volunteer and career staff across 10 fire stations.
His role within the Parish extends to pastoral care and Priestly Ministry in the Wentworth/Dareton Parish in the Diocese of Riverina, as well as to the Eucharistic ministry at St. Peter’s Robinvale.
In his free time, he enjoys woodworking and has been a member of the local Woodworker Club for the past 12 years. He enjoys getting the boat onto the river with his Grandchildren and his yearly fishing trip to the coast.
